LAUREN Sanchez’s eye-popping lingerie look was a middle finger to Inauguration Day traditions, as her plunging neckline stole the show, a fashion expert has said.
Jeff Bezos’ fiancee hit back at political dynasties and embraced her controversial style when she purposefully put on a busty display.
“She put herself in a position that is drawing the wrong kind of attention,” celebrity stylist and image consultant Amanda Sanders exclusively told The U.S. Sun.
“She wants to feel young and sexy, and she is very confident. But I guess to me, it’s like, know your audience.”
On Monday, Sanchez, a news anchor turned author and philanthropist, joined husband-to-be Bezos for a full day of celebrating President Donald Trump’s swear-in ceremony.
She hung out with the “trillion-dollar crew” of tech leaders, including Elon Musk, who has been nominated to Trump’s cabinet, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Most women followed hundreds of years of tradition and wore business formal wear, such as tea-length dresses or Jackie Kennedy-inspired wool sets.
However, Sanchez stood out from the pack by donning a bright white suit with a plunging neckline that left little to the imagination.
Peeping out from her bustline was a bra embroidered with frills and lace, which, according to Sanders, felt like a desperate cry for attention.
The fashion expert said the suit, which was designed by Alexander McQueen, doesn’t come with a top, so Sanchez chose to finish the outfit with a racy detail instead of grabbing a blouse.
“It had to be done intentionally. You can’t take off that jacket. You’re putting yourself in a predicament where if you’re hot, you can’t remove it,” she said.
“For her, it’s like, ‘Please look at me. Please look at me.’ It’s such a call for attention.”
Sanders, who has worked with celebrities like Chris Rock and Gwyneth Paltrow, believes Sanchez may have felt above the rules since she represents the “nouveau riche.”
She had a humble childhood and rose through the ranks of local news stations before having an illicit affair with one of the richest men in the world in 2019.
During the inauguration, the self-made lady was surrounded by political dynasties and generations of old money.
With her outlandish outfit, Sanchez was “thumbing her nose at the establishment by wearing something that’s attention-grabbing,” Sanders said.
“She’s such a beautiful woman, and the suit is really elegant in itself. But the top is just tasteless, or the lack of a top is tasteless.”
SANCHEZ ‘SPEAKS’
Sanchez quietly fired back at heartless online trolls the day after her inauguration outfit attracted a sea of hate.
On Instagram, she didn’t show off her controversial daytime look but instead shared softly lit pictures of her far more elegant evening ball gown.
That look was a peach-colored Dolce & Gabbana gown that flaunted her curves while providing a bit more coverage.
In the comment sections of the post, followers can see she smashed like on tons of compliments that shut down the critics.
“Girl you ate that inaugural look don’t pay attention to no haters,” read one comment that she liked.
Who stole the Inauguration Ball fashion crown?
Fabulous’ Deputy Fashion Editor, Abby McHale, gives her take on the political dance floor.
Old-school 1950s Hollywood glamor seemed to be the theme for the ladies of the Trump family at the Liberty Ball last night.
Melania, sticking to her monochrome color palette seen throughout the day, wore a Hervé Pierre strapless dress, complete with a black choker and broach dating back to 1955, borrowed from Harry Winston.
And she wasn’t the only member of the family wearing something with sentiment to the past, with Ivanka Trump donning a recreation of a Givenchy dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in 1954.
Melania knows how to look classy, subtly stealing the crown of best dressed with sharp silhouettes that still hug her figure and a clean color palette.
She also knows what style suits her, having worn another Hervé Pierre dress to Trump’s first inauguration ball back in 2017.
The only member of the family who didn’t echo the muted hues of the rest was Lara Trump, opting for a fiery Republican red number instead.
Tiffany and Kai Trump, on the other hand, went for glitzier options, with the latter’s dress giving prom vibes that you would naturally expect of a 17-year-old.
All in all, out in full force they have brought back the fashion of the Gilded Age, opulent and luxurious.
Another said, “You are truly an inspiration to me and I’m sure to many women.”
Monday’s blunder wasn’t the first time that Sanchez has pushed the envelope with her racy style.
Last year, she was invited to a White House state dinner and bizarrely wore a corset dress with a plunging neckline that gave guests an eyeful.
At a September charity event, she wore a sheer lace dress that left almost nothing to the imagination.
“It’s all about the breasts, and the rest of the things don’t matter,” said Sanders.
INAUGURATION LOOKS
Although Zuckerberg was caught sneaking a peak at Sanchez, not every eye was on the Amazon heiress to be.
At the Liberty Ball on Monday night, several of the Trumps showed up with stunning formal looks, especially Kai Trump.
The 17-year-old granddaughter of President Trump’s look proved the rising golf star is a confident young lady with a bright future.
Meanwhile, Melania was blasted for wearing an “odd” hat all day, but fans insisted she was trying to send a secret message.
