In a recent incident, the individual responsible for the attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, has been identified as a Lebanese national, as per reports from FOX News’s Bill Melugin.
According to earlier coverage by Breitbart News, the assailant drove into the Temple Israel premises on Thursday. Security forces engaged and ultimately neutralized the threat. The vehicle involved in the incident was traced back to a resident of Dearborn, Michigan, originally from Lebanon.
Melugin is now reporting that “DHS confirms to FOX News that the Michigan synagogue attacker has been ID’d as Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, a Lebanese national who first entered the U.S. in 2011 on an IR1 immigrant visa as the spouse of a U.S. citizen.”
It was also highlighted that Ghazali became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2016 during the tenure of the Obama administration.
Thankfully, no children or staff members at the Temple Israel school were injured during the attack.
