FOUR Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department employees have died in a 24-hour span in apparent suicide-related causes.
The deaths of the current and former staff members were discovered on Monday and Tuesday.
There has been no indication of the causes of these deaths but they are said to be unrelated to one another, according to law enforcement officials.
Sherrif Robert Luna shared that the department had the “deepest concern for our employees’ well-being,” in a statement released on Tuesday.

Luna said: “We are stunned to learn of these deaths, and it has sent shock waves of emotions throughout the department as we try and cope with the loss of not just one, but four beloved active and retired members of our department family.
“During trying times like these it’s important for personnel regardless of rank or position to check on the well-being of other colleagues and friends.”
The first reported death was of a Captain found at his home in Saugus, California on Monday.
