A STORE clerk has been caught on camera allegedly helping a customer steal over $15,000 worth of lottery tickets.

The duo claimed thousands of dollars in unfair lottery prizes as a result of the sinister scheme.

Shocking surveillance video shows the clerk pulling what appears to be dozens of tickets out of the plastic case at a Circle K checkout desk.

He grabs a bunch of one kind of ticket and hands them over to the customer.

The clerk then goes back to the case and grabs even more tickets.

He walked over to the lottery case a total of five times, grabbing scratch-off tickets and handing them to a man standing at checkout.

He didn’t charge him for any of the tickets, according to cops.

The customer, 47-year-old Jorge Acevedo Perez, was arrested last month for grand theft and conspiracy.

But cops are still looking for the former Circle K clerk, who was identified as Dave Dackens Pluviose, 20.

Detectives on the case said they found footage of Pluviose cashing in the lottery tickets with Perez at a supermarket.

The duo walked away with a whopping $8,000 in prize money before one of them was caught.

The Circle K convenience store they allegedly stole from is located alongside the Overseas Highway in the Lower Keys in Florida.

Detectives are now asking the public with any information on Pluviose to contact them at 305-292-7060.

LOTTO TROUBLES

It comes after another lottery player landed a $83 million jackpot but was denied her prize.

The Texas player bought $20 worth of lottery tickets over the phone using a courier service called Jackpocket.

The winning ticket was sold by a Winners Corner location in Austin.

But days later, officials said the provider is banned under state law.

The lottery hasn’t handed over any of the prize money.

Walmart shoplifting arrests

  • Ex-officer Mark Leenerts stole $317.88 worth of merchandise from Walmart stores in Topeka, Kansas
  • Jeremiah Boyer allegedly pocketed $52,800 in fees on 874 orders while working for Walmart’s online delivery service Spark
  • Brent Adam Brooks, of Sylva, North Carolina, was arrested after allegedly trying to steal a $198 Frigidaire ice maker
  • Kabreshia Caldwell is accused of targeting senior customers at Walmarts across Northeast Florida, stealing a total of $10,000
  • Katherine Gordon allegedly stole $80 worth of groceries using the ‘banana trick’ at self-checkout

“I’ve gone through frustration and being sad and stressed,” the lotto player said.

“I’m disappointed. I’m very disappointed.”

This isn’t an isolated case — Texas lottery officials are looking into several instances regarding illegitimate tickets.

In February, Governor Greg Abbott had Texas Rangers investigate some of these cases.

“Texans must be able to trust in our state’s lottery system and know that the lottery is conducted with integrity and lawfully,” he said.

Lottery players have been warned against using third-party apps that haven’t been approved by the state to cash out.
