MAFS’ Sarah Roza Says Stalkers Threatened to ‘Chop Her Into Pieces’

Married At First Sight (MAFS) star Sarah Roza has opened up about the frightening letters she received from four alleged stalkers in 2012, following her appearance on The Amazing Race.

The 47-year-old television personality competed on the program alongside her then-boyfriend, James Kingsbury, and says she was later harassed and subjected to violent threats from three men and a woman.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Sarah detailed the disturbing messages sent to her home and recalled how Channel Seven moved her into a hotel for four months so she could stay out of sight.

‘I have a lot of people try to find out where I am. I’ve had lots of problems with stalkers. When I was on The Amazing Race, I had four stalkers,’ she says.

‘Three men. One was in Victoria, the rest were interstate. They all came down. They found out where I lived. They turned up at my house. One was in my backyard.’

‘I had the publicist ringing me and saying, “Pack a bag of clothes. Grab the dog. We’re going to pick you up.”‘

Sarah said the network paid for her to ‘live in Crown Towers for four months’ as she hid from the stalkers.

‘I couldn’t tell anybody where I was. There was somebody who would take the dog regularly for walks,’ she recalls.

‘Obviously, I was on the publicity trail still so I had media obligations to do. I never went back to that house. The rental agreement was voided. I went somewhere else.’

‘They would send me stuff in the mail. Presents and stuff. I even got the old fashioned, “I’m going to kill you and chop you into pieces.”

‘These were four separate people not known to each other.’

She added: ‘I’d get flowers and they were ripped to pieces… People would follow me into stores and learn my routine.

‘When I’d go for walks, they’d turn up. I think it’s because they feel close to you because they’ve seen you on TV and they like you on TV.’

While police investigated the messages she received and incidents she experienced, none of Sarah’s stalkers were ever uncovered as she was forced to abandon her home and move to a new house.

Elsewhere in the interview, Sarah also opened up about her dating life, saying she ‘has a lot of interest’ from men, but has no plans on getting into a relationship.

‘I have a lot of interest, but I’m not interested. I’ve built a life of pure calm and peace. I live with my dog Frankie. He’s my best friend,’ she says.

‘I’ve got beautiful friends. I’ve got a beautiful family. I’m having a great time, I’m never lonely, I’m always busy and booked. I go home, I go to bed, and I actually sleep.

‘It’s beautiful. I don’t have to worry about who’s texting me some random crap or having to coach somebody’s son on how to treat me.’

Sarah says when she was young she used to seek validation from men but now finds that she no longer cares for the attention.

‘I used to dream about the day some guy would come rescue me and it’s just not like that. I am the love of my life,’ she says.

The glamour model has an extensive career in television but is most commonly known for appearing on the fifth season of MAFS in 2018.

She was matched with Telv Williams on the series but they split shortly after the show finished airing.

Sarah is now set to attend Sxhibition in Melbourne, which will take place this weekend from September 18 to 20.

The expo will then head to the Gold Coast next year from April 30 to May 2.

Sarah will be the glamorous host at one of the shows being held at Sxhibition.

‘Give me a microphone, give me a stage, I love it. I’m not some wallflower that goes, “I don’t want to talk.” Give it to me,’ Sarah joked.

She says she will be hosting ‘either the pole dancer finals or the amateur strip tease finals’, adding that ‘it’s all going to be in jest and a bit of comedy’.

‘[Sxhibition is] really trying to make it more about health, wellness, education. Sex is for everybody… I’m going there for fun, frivolity, and a bit of sex appeal,’ she adds.

‘I’m going to be up on the stage and having fun with the audience.’
