CONVICTED killer Alex Murdaugh has been granted a hearing to decide if he will get a new trial on his double murder case.
The ruling comes after Murdaugh’s defense alleged that Colleton County Clerk Rebecca Hill tampered with the jury during the five-week trial in South Carolina early this year.

The defense filed a 65-page court motion in September, accusing Hill of swaying the jury to convict Murdaugh in order to obtain a book deal.
Hill wrote a book, Behind the Doors of Justice: The Murdaugh Murders, on the high-profile trial and began selling it in August, five months after Murdaugh’s conviction and sentencing.
