At times, the actions of the Democrats can be astonishingly absurd, with their noisy protests, dramatic performances, and unwavering opposition to virtually every policy introduced by President Donald Trump. Their stance often seems less about assessing the merits of a proposal and more about obstructing him at every opportunity.
Their inconsistency appears to know no limits. Despite advocating for environmental responsibility, they frequently travel by fuel-intensive private jets to distant climate summits, while simultaneously attempting to regulate our household appliances like gas stoves. They profess a concern for public safety yet seem to enact policies that may undermine it. Moreover, they position themselves as champions of women’s rights but allow scenarios where men compete against women in sports and share their private spaces.
New York City’s Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a Democrat socialist, has taken this inconsistency even further. In a recent statement about snow removal in the city, he managed to combine folly and contradiction by requesting that volunteers bring two forms of identification and a social security card.
This request seems absurd, especially considering the staunch opposition from leftists to the SAVE Act, which mandates voters to verify their identities—a concept they have equated to Jim Crow laws, labeling it as racist and discriminatory, suggesting it unfairly targets women by implying they are incapable of maintaining valid IDs. They argue it’s a threat to democracy.
The Act narrowly passed the House on February 11 and now faces an uncertain future in the Senate.

This is beyond ludicrous, because as we know, leftists been fighting tooth and nail against the SAVE Act, which would require voters to actually prove who they are — what a crazy concept. They’ve claimed it’s a Jim Crow law, that it’s racist, that it discriminates against women because apparently females are too stupid to keep their IDs up-to-date, and that it’s a threat to democracy.
It narrowly passed the House on February 11 and now awaits an uncertain Senate fate.

Progressives don’t think you need an ID to vote, but if you want to help dig out the Big Apple, bring papers — plenty of them. Zohran seemed completely unaware of his stunning hypocrisy as he made his statement Saturday:

It’s such a ridiculous self-own that it’s almost funny. Actually, it is funny to watch one of these lefties so thoroughly exposed for the charlatan he is.
The very unfunny part about the episode, however, is that this man is running the most populous city in the nation — considered by many to be the financial hub of the world — and that is downright sad, because he’s doing everything he can to debase it further.
