THE disturbing texts a married teacher allegedly sent to the 15-year-old pupil she has been accused of sexually assaulting have been revealed.
Christina Formella, 30, was arrested in Chicago, Illinois, after the pupil’s mom discovered the lewd messages on his phone.
One text exchange shows the two professing their love for one another, local news WGNTV reported.
In the exchange, the pupil allegedly tells Formella he loves her and even refers to her as “mama”.
Formella wrote: “I love you sooooo much baby… Even though this morning was short, it was perfect.”
The pupil responded: “I know baby it was perfect baby so perfect.”
Formella replied: “I love having sex with you,.”
To this the pupil said: “I know baby I love it so much… It feels so good… It’s so passionate. .. It’s so intimate … It’s so perfect.”
The texts were unearthed when the boy’s mom bought him a new phone and was linking it to his iCloud account, according to the petition.
After coming across texts between her son and his teacher discussing a sexual relationship, she confronted him.
The pair went to Downers Grove Police Department that same day to report the alleged abuse.
The police caught Formella during a traffic stop, arrested her and charged her with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one of criminal sexual assault.
According to the police investigation, the inappropriate relationship started when the pupil stayed after school for a tutoring session.
The abuse is alleged to have later happened in a classroom before the school day started back in December 2023.
DuPage County Attorney Robert Berlin said: “The allegations against Ms. Formella are extremely disturbing.
“It is alleged that she used her position of trust and authority as a tutor and a coach to sexually assault a minor student.
“The type of abuse and behavior alleged in this case will not be tolerated.”
But Formella claimed that she never sexually assaulted the student and said that “everybody comes after her because she is good looking”.
Formella admitted to the police that she “cared too much” about the student, but maintained that she is innocent.
The teacher claimed that the boy broke into her phone and sent the text messages as blackmail, according to court documents.
Formella taught and coached the pupil soccer at Downers Grove South High School.
The school’s principal Arwen Lyp wrote a letter to students and parents after the news about Formella came out.
She wrote: “We are devastated, and our community is reeling,’ Principal Arwen Lyp wrote to students and parents in a letter.
“An adult has been charged with the most serious of violations, and trust has been broken.
“Our team is here to support students who are impacted by this terrible news.”
