The board’s decision to honor President Trump by adding his name to the Center, in recognition of his efforts in its restoration, has left many Democrats incensed. This reaction underscores the current political climate, where the focus seems to be on opposing Trump rather than acknowledging bipartisan achievements.

One of the prominent voices in this uproar is journalist Jim Acosta, who abandoned any pretense of impartiality in a heated outburst on Friday. Acosta dramatically predicted chaos, suggesting that the Trump team would wreak havoc. However, Ric Grenell, the Kennedy Center’s president, swiftly countered Acosta’s claims, highlighting the successful restoration of the facility and the improved financial standing following record-breaking fundraising efforts. Despite these factual corrections, Acosta remained steadfast in his narrative, seemingly uninterested in acknowledging any positive outcomes associated with Trump.
