A 17-YEAR-old girl has retorted to a series of pictures displayed to the jury at the center of her $220million medical malpractice trial.
Maya Kowalski and her family launched a lawsuit against Johns Hopkins All Children’s Medical Center’s location in Florida in January, claiming their actions led to the death of her mother, Beata, in 2017.
On Friday, Kowalski’s lawyer told reporters that the 17-year-old has been unable to attend the hearings due to her lingering complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) – a form of chronic pain that usually affects an arm or a leg.

Family attorney Gregory Anderson claimed his client’s pain has become so severe that she’s been unable to attend the hearings.
“It’s horrible. Maya has CRPSS lesions reappearing. It’s not good,” Anderson said in court.
