Memphis Cops in Tyre Nichols Beating Hired After PD Lowered Standards in Diversity Push

Two of the Memphis police officers charged in the fatal beating of Tyre Nichols were hired after the Memphis Police Department lowered its hiring standards in 2020, amidst a massive diversity push brought on by the Black Lives Matter movement that now claims the black officers who killed Tyre Nichols are white supremacists.

Now ex-Memphis police officers Tadarrius Bean and Demetrius Haley both joined the department in August of 2020, amidst a historically intense diversity push and two years after the Memphis Police Department lowered its hiring standards.

Both of them have been charged with 2nd-degree murder, among other crimes, along with the other three Memphis cops involved in the caught-on-camera beating of Tyre Nichols, who later died in a hospital.

Nichols, and all five of the officers involved in his death, are black, though that fact hasn’t stopped Black Lives Matter and left-wing media figures from bizarrely claiming that the officers responsible are white supremacists, or were acting on behalf of white supremacy when they beat Nichols to death.

Ironically, a 2021 news segment that aired on Memphis, Tennessee’s Fox13 celebrated the local police department’s lowering of hiring standards and push to hire fewer white officers, claiming that “more diversity” on the police force would equal “less brutality.”

On Monday night’s broadcast of the Stew Peters Show, in addition to reporting on the affirmative action-induced lowering of Memphis PD hiring standards, Peters reported on indications that at least some of the officers involved in the fatal Tyre Nichols beating may have links to the Vice Lords street gang.

“Here are some important facts that you aren’t going to hear on CNN or in The New York Times,” Stew Peters told his audience.

“According to one of our sources, some of the officers involved in the beating even have links to the Vice Lords gang in Memphis,” said Peters.

“The single reason standards dropped so much is thanks to the Black Lives Matter movement,” Peters went on.

“Thanks to the lies of BLM, standards are falling and our police are getting worse and they’re deliberately choosing to go easier on enforcing laws.”
