Mia Goth has filed for divorce from actor Shia LaBeouf, bringing their nearly decade-long marriage to an end.
The 32-year-old actress cited “irreconcilable differences” in court documents filed Tuesday and obtained by The Daily Mail. She listed July 28, 2025, as the date of separation.
Goth and LaBeouf married on October 10, 2016, and welcomed their daughter, Isabel, in 2022. She is now four years old.
Goth is seeking primary legal and physical custody of Isabel. She is also asking the court to relinquish its ability to award spousal support to either her or the 40-year-old LaBeouf.
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Goth and LaBeouf for comment but has not received a response.
The divorce filing follows a difficult period for LaBeouf, who was arrested in February after an alleged drunken bar brawl in New Orleans.
In June, LaBeouf pleaded guilty to three counts of simple battery. Orleans Parish Judge Juana Marine-Lombard sentenced him to six months, suspended, and two years of probation. He was also ordered to stay away from the victims and the bar.

Days after his February arrest, LaBeouf denied having a “drinking problem” during an interview with journalist and YouTuber Andrew Callaghan. He also said he was doubtful that rehab would help him.
LaBeouf told Callaghan that the behavior that led to his aggressive conduct during Mardi Gras was driven more by “anger and ego” than alcohol.
During the interview, LaBeouf also said that “big gay people are scary to me.”
“When I’m standing by myself and three gay dudes are next to me touching my leg, I get scared,” he told Callaghan. “I’m sorry. If that’s homophobic, then I’m that.”
LaBeouf, who converted to Catholicism several years ago, has had multiple encounters with the law. In 2017, he was arrested in New York City on suspicion of assault during a livestream.
Later that year, while filming The Peanut Butter Falcon in Georgia, he was arrested for public drunkenness and accused of disorderly conduct and obstruction. He was sentenced to probation.
In 2020, LaBeouf faced misdemeanor charges of battery and petty theft in Los Angeles.
LaBeouf has previously credited Goth with having “saved [his] f*****g life.” On an episode of the Real Ones podcast, he said she “gave me hope when I was really running on fumes.”

The pair started dating in December 2012 after meeting on the set of Nymphomaniac: Vol II, and they tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2016.
The couple’s relationship was tumultuous, with the pair filmed in the midst of an explosive argument in 2015, and they went on to split up in 2018.
At the time a source told Page Six: ‘Shia and Mia have filed for divorce. The separation is amicable, and all details pertaining to the divorce proceedings will remain private.’
The pair reconciled in 2020, and it was revealed that the latter was pregnant with the couple’s child in 2022.
The X star gave birth to Isabel in March of that year.
While the couple were separated, he began dating singer FKA Twigs in 2019.
In December 2020, Twigs filed a high-profile action accusing the actor of sexual, physical and emotional abuse, along with knowingly giving her a sexually transmitted disease. He denied all allegations against him.
The lawsuit sought $10 million in damages for alleged sexual battery, assault and emotional distress during the couple’s relationship.
In July 2026, it was revealed that the pair had settled their lawsuit, with the British hitmaker requesting to dismiss all claims against LaBeouf with prejudice, meaning she cannot bring the case back to court in the future.

On Tuesday, The Daily Mail revealed Twigs has settled her lawsuit with LaBeouf, with a judge ruling that the English singer will no longer be silenced via a nondisclosure agreement, according to court documents.
‘In resolution of this action, Defendant Shia LaBeouf has agreed that the non-disclosure provisions (NDAs) contained in the parties’ June 2025 settlement of the 2020 lawsuit are terminated and void; this action has therefore achieved its purpose,’ the Los Angeles Superior Court filing states.
The document also pointed out that the NDA violated California’s Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act, a 2018 law that bans confidentiality and nondisclosure provisions in settlement agreements involving sexual assault, sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination.
A sworn declaration submitted by the author of the STAND ACT, Senator Connie M Leyva, in May reaffirmed this stance.
The settlement notice written by Twigs’ lawyer also stated that the 38-year-old, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, is now ‘free to discuss her own experience and to speak about and support the charitable and other causes of her choosing without fear of reprisal.’
In a statement to the Daily Mail, the musician’s attorney Mathew Rosengart, who famously represented Britney Spears in her conservatorship case, said: ‘Twigs stood up for something larger than herself, female survivors of sexual abuse.
‘This victory frees her to discuss her experience, advocate for other women who might be less privileged, and support the charitable causes of her choice.’
In a statement to the Daily Mail, LaBeouf’s lawyer Shawn Holley said: ‘Shia wishes Twigs nothing but the best in her life and career and, to that end, has agreed to end their long-standing dispute. Twigs has spoken about this matter for years and there is now nothing to prevent her from continuing to do so.’
