Mitch McConnell is a notable politician who has been serving as a US Senator from Kentucky since 1985. Recently, he announced that he will step down as the GOP Leader in November this year and complete his Senate term which will expire in January 2027. However, it is true that Mitch McConnell suffered an injury (concussion) due to a tumble when his face froze while publicly speaking. He could not reveal any particular reason for the timing of his decision but he mentioned that the passing of his wife’s sister played the role of a catalyst in introspection. Many online reports claimed that Mitch McConnell who is currently 82 years of age, announced his decision due to his deteriorating health. But Mitch made it clear that his health has no connection with his decision. He is also not sick at this point in time. He said while reflecting on his senate career, “I love the Senate.
