In recent months, we’ve witnessed some unsettling actions from certain left-leaning individuals. Notably, there has been vocal support for Luigi Mangione, a suspect in a murder case, alongside disturbing reactions to various incidents. Some have even appeared to endorse assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump and have shown insensitivity towards the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA.

However, a candidate for city commissioner in Montana has perhaps crossed a new line with shocking rhetoric. This kind of extreme discourse, which has become increasingly common among some Democrats, mirrors the controversies surrounding figures like Virginia’s attorney general candidate, Jay Jones, who faced backlash for wishing harm on his opponents’ families. Such statements are profoundly disturbing.

The candidate in question, vying for a position as a Helena city commissioner, recently launched a troubling verbal attack on first-term Republican Senator Tim Sheehy. (Please note: the following contains objectionable language)

As someone who has seen a beloved relative die from pancreatic cancer – one of the most vicious and incurable diseases out there – I have to say that I’m shocked that anybody could wish that on someone else over political differences. “Depraved” is simply not a strong enough word.

And she wasn’t even done:

“Hi, this is Haley McKnight. I’m a constituent in Helena, Montana,” McKnight started off in her voicemail, a recording of which was obtained and verified by Fox News Digital. “I just wanted to let you know that you are the most insufferable kind of coward and thief. You just stripped away healthcare for 17 million Americans, and I hope you’re really proud of that. I hope that one day you get pancreatic cancer, and it spreads throughout your body so fast that they can’t even treat you for it.”

I honestly can’t wrap my mind around such viciousness. I deplore most Democrats and the extremism that they spout, but I would never in a million years wish the kind of things this psychopath desires for her ideological foes.

Unfortunately, this is what’s become emblematic for today’s Democrat party, and this is what we must continue to fight – and beat – at the ballot box.
