MULTIPLE houses of worship have received bomb threats on Friday.

One threat came in around 10:30 am, according to the Ridgefield Police Department.

Police received the bomb threat at Congregation Shir Shalom, which is located about 10 miles from Danbury, Connecticut.

Law enforcement evacuated the building, along with a K-9 and his officer, and no devices were found.

“It is my understanding that multiple other places of worship, throughout the state of Connecticut received similar threats today,” Ridgefield police said in a statement posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

“We want to ask that everyone continues to be vigilant and if you see something suspicious, please contact us immediately @ (203) 438-6531 or dial 911 if necessary,” police said.

The leader of Hamas has called for a global day of Jihad against the supporters of Israel on Friday.

Officials in Connecticut have said there are no credible threats in the state that they’re aware of.

However, the FBI has been monitoring for bomb threats in Connecticut in the wake of the Israeli-Hamas war.

Robert Fuller, a special agent in charge of the FBI’s New Haven, Connecticut office, has said his office wants to assure residents that his agency is working around the clock to monitor any threats made to residents and religious communities, per the New Haven Register.

According to ABC News, at least 1,300 people have died and another 3,227 have been injured in Israel.

The news outlet reports that upwards of 1,799 people have been killed in strikes in Gaza, with another 7,388 injured.
