A NEWLY-INSTALLED pickleball court has caused some neighbors to publicly complain about the noise.
Concerns over the courts have also prompted residents in another Seattle neighborhood to speak out.
A rant submitted by readers of the Seattle Times brought attention to the pickleball courts in the area.
“The noise and daily invasion of cars and players is beyond maddening and does not belong in a neighborhood setting,” the readers wrote.
The readers have also requested to limit play.
Meanwhile, residents in West Seattle have rallied against a proposal to build a pickleball court in that neighborhood.

Seattle Parks and Recreation wants to take six old tennis courts and convert them into pickleball areas, according to local ABC affiliate KOMO.
Those opposed to the proposal told KOMO that natural areas in Lincoln Park are already being affected by pickleball players.
Residents are pushing for the courts to be moved to another area where the wildlife won’t be disrupted.
“I would hate to see a pickleball court go in here, as much as I love playing the sport,” pickleball player Kelli Bernhard told KOMO.
“I just think it’s a complete misuse of funds and there’s other areas, Solstice Park, where there’s tennis courts currently.”
The group of residents opposed to the plan reportedly have a petition signed by 35,000 people.
The petition aims to move the pickleball courts to another area.
Seattle Parks and Recreation told KOMO that they are working to answer questions from the community.
