Family shared update on October 30
Nancy Ng’s sister Nicky’s partner, Jared Lopez, has started a GoFundMe to support the family as the search for Nancy intensifies.
An update posted to the fundraiser’s page on October 30 said: “It has been 11 days since Nancy disappeared and we still have found no signs of her. With every passing day, our family nightmare gets worse. Our fears of never finding her more real.”
The statement continued: “With the help of Black Wolf Helicopters (our hired professional search and rescue team), the Bomberos Voluntarios Air Rescue Section, the Bomberos Dive Team, and amazing local volunteers, we have conducted an extensive search of the lake.
“However, our search efforts have been hampered by insufficient information regarding the exact circumstances and location of Nancy’s disappearance due to the failure of key witnesses (many of whom have returned to the United States in the past week) to step forward and provide a witness report.”
The update goes on to say that local and state authorities as well as the FBI have joined in the search for Nancy Ng “due to the lack of this imperative information.”
FBI joins the search
The FBI has joined the search for Nancy Ng after she went missing on October 19.

Family releases video
Nancy Ng’s family has released a video of the last time the 29-year-old was seen on October 19.
The video shows the yoga practitioner waving to the camera as she paddles across Lake Atitlán in Guatemala.
Witnesses are ‘not forthcoming’
Nancy Ng’s family has hired search-and-rescue teams to comb through Lake Atitlán and the surrounding area in search of the missing loved one.
However, Chris Sharpe, a member of the Guatemala-based Black Wolf Helicopters who is leading the search efforts, told KABC that there have been no clues of Ng’s disappearance.
“For me, this is now becoming a criminal investigation because the witnesses who were there at a material time are not being forthcoming,” Sharpe told the outlet.
Family begs for answers
Nancy’s family is pleading for any witnesses at the retreat with Ng to come forward with any information.
Her sister, Nicky, told ABC News: “We’re begging you: If anyone saw anything that could help us, just direct us where to look.
“Because we need answers.”
