President Donald Trump delivered words of encouragement to National Guard members when he showed up in person on Thursday night to thank them and other federal law enforcement for their service in helping to reduce crime in the city.
As previously reported, we were already seeing significant drops in violent crime, according to the D.C. Police Union. Those decreases included things like carjacking and robbery. Robbery is down 46 percent, and violent crime is down 22 percent.
One of the best stats so far is that there hasn’t been a murder in a week.
As Fox columnist David Marcus noted:
As of Wednesday afternoon, the nation’s capital has had no murders for seven days, something that had not been achieved since March and something I can find no recent record of in summer months when the murder rate is typically at its highest.
Then, there are things like this: kindness and helping people, as a Guard member helps an older woman down the stairs and carries her cart for her. Oh, my, the ugly fascism!

These are the people the leftist protesters are screaming about.
Whatever the Democrats or the left say, this is the reality, and good on the Guard for doing their part to help Americans.
