Police were called to a home in Carrollton, Texas just before 8am after a man claimed that he had been stabbed by his wife.

The man was taken to a hospital to treat his wounds and he’s expected to survive.

Neighbors told police they heard a lot of yelling and screaming before the stabbing happened.

Moments after police responded to the stabbing, Lewisville officers were called to a car that was driven into a retention pond.

Inside the car were a woman, later confirmed to be Ong, and the couple’s three children, ages 8, 9, and 12.

Police and firefighters were able to pull the Ong and two of the children from the car while a third child was able to free themselves.

One of children was resusciated by a police officer at the pond and another was revived on the way to the hospital by paramedics.

All four were taken to the hospital – one child is listed in critical condition and the other children are stable, said police.

“Oh my heart sank, I have children. I have grandchildren, so I’m very sensitive to that,” Audreyanna Lagunes told Fox 4 News.

Lagunes witnessed the rescue and said she was thankful the children survived.

Deep tire tracks in the dirt and grass were still visible, leading Lagunes to wonder how fast the mother was driving.

“She had to be going really fast. She had to be going more than 20-30 miles per hour, those are pretty deep,” she said.

“What kind of toll is that going to take on the long run? How long they were under?”

An investigation into the shooting and Ong’s actions afterward are being investigated by police.

Ong is being held at the Carrollton Police Department where she’ll be transferred to Denton County Detention.
