Nikki Haley’s son recently made his television debut on Fox News, and the host couldn’t help but praise his intelligence and self-reliance.
However, the response from the online community was less than flattering. Many criticized Nalin Haley, branding him as disconnected and hypocritical.
Nalin, who is employed in the finance sector in the Charlotte area and is a Villanova University graduate, shared with Fox News’ Rachel Campos-Duffy his concerns about the housing market. He expressed doubts about ever being able to purchase a home and mentioned that several of his peers are having difficulty securing employment post-graduation.
Despite claiming that he is doing relatively well financially, Nalin acknowledged the economic challenges that Generation Z faces.
Nevertheless, his comments drew swift backlash from social media users, who accused him of making contradictory statements.
‘I’m tired of rich nepo kids of politicians acting like they experience any of the things he said,’ wrote a user posting under the handle of @wokeafliberal, while suggesting that Haley is ‘rich with an expensive car flying around the world,’ per his own Instagram feed.
Photos posted by Haley include numerous snaps of him traveling to luxury destinations around the world, dining at the Versace Mansion in Miami, smoking cigars, and driving a BMW.
‘He didn’t sound ‘conservative’, he sounded disenfranchised and abandoned, His positions don’t align with a party, but they are legitimate concerns,’ noted X user @JonathonEDavis.

Campos-Duffy also asked Haley what he thinks of the Trump administration introducing the idea of a 50-year mortgage, to which he responded ‘whatever will lower the cost of houses.’
‘Anything to put American workers first, lower the cost of housing, I think we should absolutely do it,’ Haley told Campos-Duffy.
Haley also doubled down on the idea of banning H-1 B visas, which are used by companies to bring foreign workers into the United States.
The large majority of H1B visa holders come from India, the same country that Haley’s maternal grandparents hail from.

Asked about his opposition to H-1 B visas, given his background, Haley added that people shouldn’t be surprised, as he has seen what the importation of foreign workers has done to his friends, and that his loyalty is to Americans first.
Some social media voices did seem to commend Haley for speaking up, with X user @KellyLMcCarty telling Haley ‘you’re over the target when both sides come at you,’ and that ‘as a mom (Gen X) of Gen Z daughters (one who is close to your age), I’m seeing the same thing happening to you all.’
‘They’ll criticize you now, but they’ll have to call you ‘Mr. President’ in the future, and they’ll be lining up begging for jobs for themselves,’ added X user @crucifixwearer.
