TWO evil nursery workers left children bloodied and bruised in horrifying attacks caught on CCTV.
Anbreen Tariq, 45, and Salima Fajal, 40, abused the three kids – some with special needs – at a £2,000-a-month day care centre in West London.
Chilling CCTV shows mum-of-four Fajal grabbing one three-year-old girl by her arm and holding her in the air before slapping her twice.
The abuse came to light when Fajal had called her parents to say their daughter’s nose was bleeding.
When they got to the nursery, they discovered the girl had a bruised eye and redness to her cheeks and nose.
Officers trawled through CCTV and uncovered the horrific abuse Fajal and Tariq had carried out.
But the evil pair wiped some of the footage – meaning dozens of other children could have been attacked.
Fajal and Tariq have now been jailed after pleading guilty to a string of child cruelty charges.
Isleworth Crown Court heard Fajal, who has worked in childcare for over 20 years, and Tariq abused the children between March and July 2021.
Family members gasped as the sickening attacks were played – including one clip showing Tariq hitting a non-verbal autistic three-year-old boy on the back of the head with a mobile.
He could be seen crying on the floor after the monster also kicked him in the back.
The boy’s dad said in a victim impact statement: “This had had a deep emotional and mental impact on my family.
“The way my wife and I found out was not ideal. The first we knew was when Fajal came into our office with someone pretending to be a whistleblower, who we know now is Tariq.
“My wife burst into tears when she saw the video. This has created a mistrust in institutions who are supposed to be looking after our child.
“My son could not tell us what was happening because he is autistic.”
The CCTV footage also showed Tariq aggressively holding down a two-year-old boy.
His mum told the court how she was left “absolutely distraught” when she discovered what happened to her son.
She added: “For about six months after my son left the nursery, he did not want to be away from me. He would wake up, cry, and come to me.”
The court was told both Fajal and Tariq blamed each other when the abuse came to light and had even kept segments of CCTV to use as blackmail against one another.
Fajal also claimed she only slapped the three-year-old girl because she was “choking”.
She pleaded guilty to two counts of child cruelty, relating to two children, and was handed a suspended sentence.
Tariq admitted three counts of child cruelty, relating to three children and was jailed for 12 months.
Fajal was also ordered to pay £1,000 compensation to the three-year-old girl’s family, and £1630 in court costs.
The judge said: “The CCTV is deeply distressing to watch.
“What is striking is how causal this violence was.
“The victim impact statements make for very sobering reading and speak to the profound effect relating to the abuse which the children suffered at the nursery.
“There was an entirely inappropriate use of force which would have undoubtedly caused these children serious distress, pain and comfort.
“This was cruelty which you both casually subjected young and entirely innocent to, who were trusted to be in your care.”
