Wherefore, Cincinnatus? A Tale of Staggering American Political Corruption.

Over the weekend, former President Barack Obama lent his support at a rally for Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Abigail Spanberger in Virginia. Despite Spanberger maintaining a lead over her Republican rival, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, the presence of a political heavyweight like Obama signals the Democrats’ determination to secure the win.

In his speech, Obama emphasized Spanberger’s commitment to civil discourse, stating that her leadership is essential for progress on key issues. “She knows that if we want to make progress on the things that we care about, we have to be able to disagree without calling each other nasty names or demonizing each other,” he remarked.

However, the rally’s lineup raised eyebrows, as Jay Jones, the Democratic candidate for Attorney General embroiled in a text messaging scandal, also took the stage. Obama’s message of respectful disagreement seems at odds with sharing the platform with Jones, prompting questions about the Democrats’ consistency in their values.

This scenario underscores the criticism that some have leveled at the Democratic Party, accusing them of compromising principles for political gain. With figures like Obama and Spanberger standing alongside a controversial candidate, skepticism about their sincerity in promoting a respectful political climate is bound to grow.

Yet who was also there speaking at the rally? The very guy behind the disturbing text scandal, their candidate for Attorney General, Jay Jones. So if Obama is calling out demonizing each other, why is he appearing at the same rally with Jay Jones? How can anyone take anything Obama or Spanberger says seriously, when they’re still appearing with him? They truly have no shame.

What a big example that Democrats have no principles.

Obama is also going to New Jersey to campaign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Mikie Sherrill. The race there is very close, and the Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli may just pull off an upset victory.

The Democrats are worried because Trump has made gains in both New Jersey and Virginia, and improved his votes with black and Hispanic voters. They should be worried, because the American public rightly views them as extreme. You even saw Obama embracing the unembraceable, New York City mayoral candidate, Zohran Mamdani, calling his campaign “impressive.”

Let’s get out and vote, and make sure that the extremists do not get into office.
