Hollywood Weighs in on LA Riots, And It’s As Dumb As You Imagine

On her Instagram Stories, Longoria shared a post from California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom, who called out President Donald Trump and the “deranged behavior” of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after both men promised to do what they could to help the police who were under attack by the rioters in the city, the Daily Mail reported.

Longoria characterized their help as “Un-American.” It came after Trump called in the National Guard, and Hegseth wrote on X,  ‘If violence continues, active-duty Marines at Camp Pendleton will also be mobilized — they are on high alert.”

Actress Dawson posted a series of posts on Instagram about the protests, writing in one, “We Stand with our community” as the rioters shut down the freeway, burned cars, and threw rocks at police.

In a post on Instagram Stories, Marvel star actor Mark Ruffalo had a message to members of the National Guard, telling them to question authority if they felt their orders “may violate their constitutional rights.” It was included in a longer post from some Resist, Riseup Movement, TMZ reported.

Woke actor Eric Andre might have had the whooper of all responses when he claimed on social media that “ICE” and “DEA” are terrorist organizations. And then he bested himself after he wrote, “Bring ICE to Plymouth Rock, Put ICE on the Mayflower, and deport them back to Europe. They are a dangerous terrorist organization. Abolish ICE.”

What in the world is he talking about?

Lead singer of the alternative band Green Day, Billie Armstrong, who never misses an opportunity to get political, posted a video of rioters burning Waymo cars. He captioned his post with a flipping-the-bird emoji and an Ice emoji.

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay wrote in her post about the “peaceful” protestors and said, “People of all ages and stripes from all over the city raising their voices. And being treated worse than January 6 terrorists.”

Actress and reality TV star Lisa Rinna suggested, “He [Trump] wants to declare martial law. So, be careful in LA. He wants protests. Don’t give him what he wants, which is violence.”

Not to be outdone, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen shared several posts on her Instagram Stories, one that included an “I [love] LA” logo in support of the city following the violence on the streets.

Teigen’s virtue signaling is just an attempt to try and earn back leftist cred after she was canceled because she repeatedly cyberbullied then-teen Courtney Stodden into taking her own life. Teigen later apologized and bemoaned being canceled.

All of their comments sound similar to ones from former Vice President Kamala Harris and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who have blamed Trump and not the rioters for the unrest, RedState reported.

In her statement on Monday, the San Francisco congresswoman blamed President Donald Trump for the “escalation” of violence in LA, not the radical leftists who attacked law enforcement.

Pelosi claimed the riots were “peaceful demonstrations” and accused Trump of committing “unlawful tactics” after the president called in the National Guard to help the police who were under attack.

Meanwhile, the woman who lost to Trump in November refused to call out rioters, instead referring to the uprising as “what’s unfolding in Los Angeles,” according to RedState.
