A MISSING woman has been found dead stuffed inside a suitcase – just days after begging her mom to pray for her.
Pamela Alcantara’s remains were discovered by the side of the road close to the border of Yonkers and the Bronx in New York on Thursday.
The 26-year-old was last seen around at 2am on Sunday at her home – hours after surveillance footage pictured her on the phone to her mom.
Her mysterious disappearance sparked a frantic search, before her body was found inside a red suitcase, as reported by the ABC affiliate WABC-TV.
Alcantara’s family revealed she was in the process of moving out of an apartment she shared with her ex-partner.
The pair had been together for around three years before she called off their relationship.
Family members suspect that he became aware of her plans to leave the property.
Cousin Naysa Peguero claimed her ex-partner put recording devices on her car and in the bedroom.
Peguero revealed details from a call that Alcantara, her cousin, had with her mom.
“She said ‘mom I just want you to pray for me’ and that was all,” she told WABC.
She also claimed that Alcantara’s Facebook page seemed strange.
“The only thing she has was her profile picture up,” Peguero added.
Alcantara often spoke to her mom and predominantly spent time with her pals at church.
She was reportedly planning on going to a church event in Connecticut on Sunday.
But, she failed to show up, sparking further concern.
Alcantara’s family combed the apartment on Monday and revealed the bedroom was messy.
She said ‘mom I just want you to pray for me’ and that was all.

But, the rest of the property was tidy.
Alcantara’s family have been left devastated by what had unfolded.
“She was only 26 years old,” they told News12.
“She still had her whole life ahead of her.
“It’s like cold water pouring towards you right now.”
Sources told The New York Post that Alcantara’s ex-boyfriend has since been arrested.
They revealed he was caught after his license plate was clocked.
It’s not known if he has been charged.
