It Looks Like Pedro Pascal Is Trying to Make Sure Marvel's 'Fantastic 4' Is DOA

It would appear actor Pedro Pascal — an actor who hasn’t seen a script he can say no to — learned nothing from Rachel Zegler’s mishaps… or even Brie Larson’s.

Once again, Pascal is getting political on the internet by attacking Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who spiked the football after a U.K. court ruled that women are women.

Rowling took to X to post an image of herself enjoying a cocktail and a cigar with the copy “I love it when a plan comes together.” She threw in the hashtag “women’s rights” to boot.

Activist Tariq Ra’ouf went in on Rowling on Instagram, accusing her of everything leftists have been accusing her of for years now, but emphasized that everyone should boycott the new Harry Potter show currently being put together for HBO, and encouraged his followers to  “make sure that every single thing that’s Harry Potter-related fails. That means posting in every single TV show update that comes out, in every single article, posting in the comments that ‘trans rights are human rights,’ that ‘trans women are women.’”

He also encouraged people not to buy tickets to Universal Studio’s parks.

Within the comment of this Instagram post, Pascal said “Awful disgusting S*** is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”

I’m not sure it’s loser behavior to celebrate the fact that women are now legally identified as women by a country, and therefor they can reclaim their spaces, including sports, healthcare wards, locker rooms, restrooms, and even women’s prisons. This is a huge victory for women’s rights, but Pascal and transgender activists seem to believe this was a massive attack on the transgender community.

Women be damned.

Naturally, this is being elevated by outlets like The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, who paint Pascal as a brave celebrity speaking out against evil. The Hollywood Reporter, in particular, noted Pascal’s personal stakes in the matter:

Pascal has long been a supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community. His sister, Lux Pascal, came out as a trans woman in 2021. The photo above was taken on the red carpet for the UK premiere of the Marvel film with Pascal wearing a “Protect the Dolls” T-shirt — the phrase signifies solidarity and support for trans women.

But if Pascal and Ra’ouf think they’re going to put a dent in Rowling’s bank accounts or success, they’ve got another thing coming. Universal Studios parks are going gang busters, and anything with Harry Potter attached to it has massive success, including the Hogwarts Legacy video game.

I would also caution the media when it comes to identifying pro-trans supporters as “pro-LGBT+” as even the L, G, and B have been increasingly wanting to distance themselves from the T.

Besides all that, Pascal is putting himself in a pretty precarious position by putting himself on the extreme side of an issue that people aren’t too fond of, especially women.

Pascal’s upcoming Marvel film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is on the horizon and people not seeing his film out of spite is a very real possibility. As I’ve said before, it happened to Rachel Zegler and Brie Larson.

Pascal’s need to speak out could end up damaging the film’s box office, putting Disney’s bean counters in a very stressful situation. That said, this would be par for the course for Disney, a company that allowed and even encouraged overt leftism both within and outside the company for years.

If Pascal’s situation heats up anymore, which I feel the media is trying to do here, then you can bet many people will shrug this movie off.
