A PLANE has crashed into a retirement village parking lot and burst into ferocious flames – with multiple casualties reported.
Emergency services rushed to the residential neighborhood in Manheim, Pennsylvania, and were met with black smoke filling the skies.
The light aircraft came down in the parking lot of Brethren Village Retirement Home.
It avoided smashing into buildings by mere meters, and looks to have landed on top of cars.
Multiple people have been reported injured with medics and ambulances on the scene.
Footage posted to social media shows a wreckage burning fiercely in a car park.
The plane’s tail appears to be propped up on a car.
Huge jets of water are aimed at the blaze, with sections of the metalwork disintegrating.
Manheim is just south of Lancaster, south-east Pennsylvania.
