On April 3, 2026, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, delighted fans by posting a rare peek into her family’s life on Instagram. The footage captured a heartwarming moment of Prince Harry and their young son, Prince Archie, enjoying a skiing adventure together.
The 44-year-old Meghan, who gained fame as an actress before her royal life, revealed that their six-year-old son is just beginning to learn the art of skiing. Accompanying the video, she penned a heartfelt caption expressing her pride in both her son and her husband.

Her caption read simply: “My boys.”
She added, “Quick learner, Archie! So proud.”

The family moment surfaced shortly after Meghan was spotted shopping for Easter gifts on April 1 in Montecito.
She reportedly picked up Magic Rabbit playing cards and Magic Castle Sea Monkeys for Archie and Princess Lilibet, four, at a local toy shop near the family’s Santa Barbara‑area home.
A witness told PEOPLE: “She was picking up Easter gifts for her kids and her godchildren.
She was there for a while, talking to the staff and making selections.”
While Meghan enjoyed a relaxed day out, a new royal biography has sparked fresh controversy over Prince Harry’s relationship with his grandmother in her final years.
In Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History, author Hugo Vickers claims the late monarch became increasingly cautious when speaking to Harry after he and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
According to Vickers, the Queen refused to take Harry’s calls unless a member of staff was present.
He writes: “Whenever Prince Harry called his grandmother, she asked her lady-in-waiting to stay with her.”
Vickers argues the Queen’s guarded approach reflected the emotional strain caused by the couple’s actions, adding: “The distress the Sussexes caused the Queen in the last years of her life cannot be overestimated.”
Page Six reported further details from a palace insider, who described the tone of the calls as clipped and cautious.
The insider said: “There were lots of one word answers – ‘Yes’ and ‘No’.”
They added: “The Queen clearly wanted some kind of protection,” explaining that the lady‑in‑waiting provided “moral support and protection… to ensure there was a record of what was said.” The insider continued: “I think the Queen was also on her guard with Harry because she was so hurt by what he had done.”
Vickers also claims the Queen refused to meet Harry and Meghan alone when they introduced Princess Lilibet during the Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
He writes: “Prince Harry was at (his then-residence) Frogmore Cottage with his wife and two children, the gate adorned with balloons to celebrate baby Lilibet’s first birthday.
They visited the Queen with the children, again with a lady-in-waiting present.”
The book includes further comments attributed to the Queen about Harry’s new life in California.
Vickers writes: “And now Harry has opted out, and for what? To be a carer for (his son) Archie?”
He also revisits tensions within the royal household before Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding, writing: “Prince Harry would never have been allowed to marry such a girl at an earlier time in the reign for obvious reasons, but the union was welcomed by a younger, more tolerant generation.” He claims Prince Philip was sceptical from the start and “referred to her as ‘The American.’”
Vickers goes on to describe an alleged incident involving Meghan and palace staff, writing: “When they were living there, Meghan was rude to one of the under-gardeners – there are hundreds of gardeners.” He adds: “When one of the head gardeners mentioned this to the Queen she got in her car and drove over and ticked off Meghan for being rude to the staff.”
