Dominic Purcell has unveiled a pair of bold new tattoos inspired by his Australian roots.
The English-born Prison Break actor, who was raised in Sydney, shared an Instagram photo of himself posing shirtless inside a local tattoo parlour as he showed off his latest ink.
Smiling for the camera, Dominic proudly displayed the two Down Under-themed designs, both placed prominently across his chest.
A tattoo of the Southern Cross appears on the right side of his chest, while the left features a striking image of the Australian sun.
He thanked his tattoo artist in the caption, writing: ‘Thanks to my good mate @jamiegenetattoos for the tats and slapping on one of Australia’s most iconic symbols, The Southern Cross, and of course the Aussie Sun.’
Dominic’s wife, Tish Cyrus, was quick to praise the new body art, responding in the comments with a series of fire emojis.

Last month, the actor gave fans a look at the tattoo, which features the word ‘RIFF’ in huge lettering across his back.
The 56-year-old explained in the comments that the design was a nod to Penrith, his former home.
‘Them that know. Penrith. The RIFF. NSW AUSTRALIA. 70’s – 80’s. Always proud of what made me,’ Dominic wrote.
Dominic, who is Miley Cyrus’s stepfather, also surprised fans with a rugged new appearance last year.
The actor rose to fame as the bald action hero Lincoln Burrows in Fox’s hit drama Prison Break, but later shared a selfie revealing a dramatic change in style.

Previously recognised for his shaved head, five o’clock shadow and chiselled physique, Dominic embraced a silver-fox look with a thick white beard and a more relaxed frame.
