A PRISON guard has been arrested for allegedly having sex with an inmate after their weeks-long tryst was exposed.
Sabrina Taylor, 46, peppered the inmate with gifts before she was arrested on Monday, cops say.
She allegedly had a relationship with an inmate serving time at the W.C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama – located around 200 miles from Birmingham.
Investigators say the relationship lasted from February 24 to March 23.
Taylor was arrested following a probe into contraband that had been illegally brought into the prison.
In addition to allegedly having sex with the inmate, cops listed a series of gifts she gave him in court papers seen by local Fox affiliate WALA.
Taylor was reportedly on duty when she was given a cell phone by the convict.
Cops say she used the device to message the prisoner, who had another device in their possession while behind bars.
She also allegedly gave her lover a pair of Bluetooth headphones and iPods.
Police say she also gave him a powder but didn’t elaborate on what the mystery substance was.
Taylor was arrested by the Alabama Department of Corrections and booked into jail just after 2 am on Monday morning.
She was released on Tuesday evening at around 5:30 pm.
Taylor has been hit with a slew of charges including custodial sexual misconduct.
She has also been accused of using an official position for personal gain.

More than 300 inmates are housed at the prison and it’s the only institution in Alabama that carries out executions.
The prison has been open since December 1969.
