A Bali-based fitness entrepreneur has delivered a startling response after his model wife took control of his Instagram account and publicly alleged that he had paid for sex.
Bailey Scarlett, an Australian model and OnlyFans creator, seized access to the popular account belonging to her British fitness-trainer husband, George Armstrong, and published a series of posts alleging he had been secretly seeing prostitutes in Bali.
The couple’s marriage is believed to have ended following the Instagram hack. Bali-based expatriates also believe Scarlett and Armstrong are no longer living together at their luxury villa.
The extraordinary episode began on October 2, when Scarlett accessed Armstrong’s account and started uploading messages written as though they had come from him.
The posts were presented as a confession to Armstrong’s more than 300,000 followers, despite having been written and published by Scarlett.
Although the messages have since been removed, screenshots of the alleged confession continue to circulate online.

In an unexpected turn, Armstrong has appeared to make light of the claims. He even shared an AI-generated image depicting himself as Jesus on a crucifix, accompanied by the words: ‘prostitutes are a sin’.
In public statements since the account was compromised, Armstrong has not directly denied the allegation involving prostitutes. However, he has denied being unfaithful during his relationship with Scarlett.
Scarlett has since said she regrets making the allegations public.
The posts remained online for only a few hours, but that was enough for the claims to spread rapidly across social media.
The Daily Mail understands that the couple’s highly publicised and acrimonious split has become a major talking point among Bali’s British and Australian digital-nomad community.
Scarlett later acknowledged that she had published the posts and issued an apology.
‘I want to apologise for the statements I posted humiliating George,’ she wrote.
She said she had been dealing with mental health difficulties, including premenstrual dysphoric disorder and postpartum depression. Scarlett also said she was coping with post-traumatic stress disorder after being ‘kidnapped by gunpoint’.

‘Last night I posted a statement irrationally without thinking. This came from a place of hurt and not being able to think logically about the consequences, as well as being in a highly emotional state,’ she explained.
Scarlett said the posts stemmed from ‘a deep place of hurt and a feeling of betrayal’, before acknowledging that the dispute should have been handled privately.
Scarlett then clarified ‘the act of sleeping with a prostitute did not occur during our relationship.’

Armstrong subsequently addressed the extraordinary saga himself.
Posting to his Instagram Stories two days later, Armstrong wrote: ‘Bailey and I had separated before these events unfolded, and I want to make one thing very clear: I did not cheat on Bailey while we were in a relationship.’
He also said he would not publicly reveal the private details of their relationship and appeared to take a forgiving approach towards Scarlett.
‘I forgive Bailey for what has happened publicly,’ he wrote.
He did not, however, deny using escorts generally.
Scarlett later confirmed she had been responsible for the posts and issued an apology
In his public posts since the hack, Armstrong does not expressly deny the prostitution allegation, but has denied infidelity during his relationship with Scarlett
Things then took a religious twist when Armstrong posted a lengthy Instagram Story describing the situation as ‘God’s plan’ and comparing himself to Jesus
Armstrong also made light of the situation by reposted an AI image that showed himself crucified with the words ‘prostitutes are a sin’ engraved in the cross

‘I’ve been humiliated publicly like Jesus on the cross. But I’m not hiding from anybody,’ he wrote on top of a photo of himself working out.
‘I’ve been through worse. I’ll get through this too, and I’ll walk with my head held high,’ he continued.
Armstrong went on to say he ‘doesn’t care’ if people judge him, and insisted that the ordeal was part of his destiny.
He then declared he would be ‘doing what he knows and teaches’, including avoiding alcohol and drugs, waking at 5am, praying, exercising, eating healthy food and spending time with his daughter.
