MAD Vladimir Putin breached the naval ceasefire with a missile blitz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed, in the latest snub of US President Trump’s peace effort.
In a video address, Zelensky said the missiles were fired from Russian ships stationed in the Black Sea on Sunday after warning that Moscow was stepping up its aerial attacks.
He added that Russia is refusing to accept an unconditional ceasefire so Putin can continue launching missile strikes from the Black Sea.
Zelensky said in his evening address: “This is one of the reasons why Russia is distorting diplomacy, why it is refusing to agree to an unconditional ceasefire – they want to preserve their ability to strike our cities and ports from the sea.”
It comes after heinous attacks over the weekend, with one Russian missile strike killing at least 19 people, including at least nine children.
It remains unclear if Zelensky was referring to this attack when claiming Russia had fired from the Black Sea.
Zelensky slammed the lack of a US response to Russia’s refusal to agree “a full, unconditional ceasefire” following the weekend’s heinous attacks.
Ukraine has agreed to an unconditional truce in the more than three-year-long war proposed by the US but mad Vlad has continuously refused to do so.
Zelensky said: “We are waiting for the United States to respond — so far there has been no response.”
Russia attempted to gloat the capture of a village in Ukraine’s Sumy region in a rare cross-border advance, but Ukraine has branded the boast as “disinformation”.
And earlier, Putin “launched a massive nationwide attack on Ukraine using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones”, Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister Yulia Svyrydenko revealed.
Zelensky warned that “the number of Russian air attacks is increasing”, therefore proving that “the pressure on Russia is still insufficient”.

Putin to send 60,000 kidnapped Ukrainian kids to remote camps
Putin will banish 60,000 kidnapped Ukrainian children to remote camps in the wilderness this summer, according to a terrifying Russian update.
Tens of thousands of kids have been already abducted and held in brutal re-education centres – where they are brainwashed by Russia’s twisted regime.
The young prisoners are being groomed to become “weapons” in the Russian army, according to a Zelensky adviser, and their Ukrainian identities wiped clean.
Those who have escaped the camps – masquerading as schools – describe being beaten, starved, kept in basements, put in isolation rooms and forced to sing the Russian national anthem.
And now, Putin’s government has revealed that thousands of the kids will be transferred to special camps in the countryside for the summer.
Little is known about what they will be subjected to in the new facilities.

UK defence sec to call next ‘coalition of willing’ meeting
The UK defence secretary is to call the next meeting of the ‘coalition of the willing’ on Thursday.
John Healey will host defence ministers of around 30 countries expected to contribute to the coalition with his French counterpart in Brussels.
He said: “Our coalition of nations, working at pace and willing to stand with Ukraine for the long-term, is a stark contrast to Russia who stand alone with only North Korea for a friend.
“As Putin prevaricates over a ceasefire, we will continue to ramp up our military planning, exploring the air, sea and land forces that could support a lasting peace in Ukraine.”
Healey will then chair the Ukraine Defence Contact Group with his counterpart from Germany on Friday.
Over 50 countries who support Ukraine militarily are set to be present.

Mad Vlad ‘still has questions’ over ceasefire, says Kremlin
While mad Vladimir Putin supports a ceasefire in Ukraine, he still has a “number of questions” that need answering, the Kremlin said.
The Russian dictator agreed to a limited 30-day ceasefire on energy infrastructure – but has refused to agree anything more.
Putin puppet and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow hadn’t been given answers to mad Vlad’s questions about a possible ceasefire.
He also showed backing of the continuation of peace talks between Russia and the US.

Britain hits hypersonic missile ‘milestone’ on new £1bn weapon
Britain has hit a major milestone in the race for hypersonic supremacy – with a powerful new missile engine tested 233 times and hailed as a game changer for UK defence.
The new air-breathing propulsion system, designed to fire cruise missiles at speeds of over five times the speed of sound, is part of a £1billion push to build a British hypersonic weapon by 2030.
Over six weeks, scientists carried out 233 static tests across a range of supersonic and hypersonic speeds, analysing real-time data to tweak designs and boost performance.
Unlike traditional rockets, the new engine uses air-breathing technology, enabling missiles to fly faster, lower, and further – making them harder to intercept and ideal for hitting distant targets.
The weapon is expected to become a key part of Britain’s arsenal under the MOD’s Team Hypersonics (UK) programme, delivering what officials describe as a “transformational capability” by 2030.

Meet the man behind Putin’s peace talks…
Vladimir Putin’s attack dog – who fired the first shot of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – is leading his peace talks.
Sergei Beseda, 70, is cleaning up his mess after the former KGB agent was imprisoned by his boss for bungling the hostile takeover.
Known as The Baron, the once-powerful spy was in charge of the FSB unit telling the tyrant Ukraine was weak and would crumble when tanks rolled over the border.
But Vlad’s invasion has turned into three years of humiliation for the Russians at the hands of the valiant Ukrainians instead of a quick “three-day” war.
Andrei Soldatov, a Russian investigative journalist, revealed that Beseda had been imprisoned in 2022 through his FSB sources.
Bad intelligence for his master had sent Beseda to a jail used in Stalin-era purges for mass executions.
Beseda was freed soon after and is now walking through the gilded halls of the Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at the ceasefire talks.

Zelensky slams ‘weak’ US reaction to Russian attack that killed children
A barbaric Russian missile strike on Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown on Friday night killed at least 19 people, including at least nine children.
The missile slammed into homes in Kryvyi Rih on Friday evening, destroying buildings, sparking fires, and unleashing chaos on the streets.
Zelensky has slammed the US embassy’s response to the heinous attack.
America’s ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, posted on X: “Horrified that tonight a ballistic missile struck near a playground and restaurant in Kryvyi Rih.
“More than 50 people injured and 16 killed, including 6 children. This is why the war must end.”
But Zelensky quickly criticised the statement for not mentioning Russia by name in the attack, saying the US “must not be afraid to call a spade a spade”.

Brits urged to prepare 3 day ‘survival kit’ amid looming global conflict
Brits have been urged to prepare a three-day “survival kit” as spies warn Vladimir Putin is plotting to sabotage gas pipelines and cause devastating blackouts.
While the UK continues to pursue Net Zero environmental targets, the country has shown dangerous reliance on supplies of gas and electricity from abroad.
Now security experts have argued that Brit households should have a three-day survival kit – following suit of the rest of the EU.
One source revealed: “We know that the Russians are active in the North Sea and have the power to cripple our energy links.
“We need to become much more self-sufficient, and quickly. And households should be ready for all eventualities.”
The push to get people survival-ready isn’t just a fever dream, but an EU-backed strategy.
The European Union is now formally urging every household across its 27 member states to have a three day emergency kit ready – not just for war, but for natural disasters and crises of all kinds.

Zelensky hints at critical need for spending on Ukrainian defence
Ukrainian President Zelensky has hinted at the critical need for spending on Ukrainian defence.
He said on X: “The primary and most effective guarantee of our security for Ukraine is our state’s Defense Forces and Security Forces, along with the appropriate motivation, supplies, and all necessary defense capabilities.
“The Ukrainian army must be strong enough, and upon this foundation, the entire security architecture is built.
“We must always remember how much depends on our army – on all Ukrainians who are defending the life of Ukraine with their own lives.”

Putin ‘plants secret undersea sensors in UK waters to spy on Britain’s nuclear submarines’
Russian spy sensors believed to be tracking Britain’s nuclear submarines have been discovered in UK waters.
Officials now fear this is part of a covert Kremlin campaign to monitor and potentially sabotage critical infrastructure.
The Sunday Times reports the discovery was deemed a serious national security risk but has never been made public.
Some of the devices were found washed ashore, while others were detected by Royal Navy minehunter ships.
Defence sources believe they were planted to gather intelligence on the UK’s four Vanguard-class submarines.
These carry nuclear missiles and are meant to operate undetected as part of the UK’s at-sea deterrent.
The Ministry of Defence suspects Russia deployed the spy gear as part of a wider campaign of “greyzone” warfare, targeting cables, pipelines and undersea assets.

What is the naval ceasefire?
Russia and Ukraine agreed to a naval ceasefire in the Black Sea, brokered by the US.
The deal, announced by Washington at the end of March, aimed to reopen a key trade route and includes a commitment to “develop measures” to uphold a ban on attacking each other’s energy infrastructure.
But Russia said the ceasefire wouldn’t kick in until sanctions on its food and fertiliser trade are lifted.
That also included reconnecting key banks to SwiftPay, easing restrictions on Russian-flagged vessels, and lifting curbs on agricultural machinery imports.
The White House said it would “help restore Russia’s access to the world market for agricultural and fertiliser exports,” though it’s unclear when the agreement comes into force.
President Zelensky welcomed the deal as “the right meetings, the right decisions, the right steps” — but called the US concession a “weakening of positions.”
He later accused Moscow of lying, saying the ceasefire shouldn’t depend on lifting sanctions.
Defence Minister Rustem Umerov said third countries could monitor parts of the agreement and warned that Russian warships straying outside the eastern Black Sea would be seen as “a threat to the national security of Ukraine.”
“In this case Ukraine will have full right to exercise right to self-defence,” he added.
The agreement also revives hopes for safe commercial shipping in the Black Sea — crucial for global grain exports — but with both sides trading accusations of fresh attacks, doubts remain over how long the fragile truce will hold.

Nato scrambled fighter jets after Putin unleashed barrage of nuclear-capable bombers & ballistic missiles
Nato had to scramble fighter jets after mad Vladimir Putin unleashed a barrage of nuclear-capable bombers and ballistic missiles on Ukraine on the weekend.
Russia struck central Kyiv and other locations in brutal new strikes involving ballistic and cruises missiles, as well as kamikaze drones and aerial bombs.
Due to the heinous attack, Nato was forced to raise its war planes – both Polish and from other Allied members – to patrol air space bordering Ukraine.
Poland’s command headquarters said: “Attention – due to the intensive activity of the long-range aviation of the Russian Federation, performing strikes on objects located, among others, in the west of Ukraine, the operation of Polish and allied aviation in our airspace has begun.
“The RSZ [armed forces] Operational Commander activated all available forces and resources at his disposal.
“On-call fighter pairs have been [scrambled], and ground-based air defence and radio-location reconnaissance systems have reached a state of highest readiness.
“The steps taken are aimed at ensuring security in the areas bordering the threatened areas.
“The RSZ Operational Command is monitoring the current situation and subordinate forces and resources remain in full readiness for immediate response.”

At least nine children among 19 killed in horror missile strike over weekend
A barbaric Russian missile strike on Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown on Friday night killed at least 19 people, including at least nine children.
More than 60 people were left injured in one of the deadliest attacks in recent weeks and as Russia claims it wants a ceasefire.
The missile slammed into homes in Kryvyi Rih on Friday evening, destroying buildings, sparking fires, and unleashing chaos on the streets.
Around 61 civilians were wounded as the Russians “lied” over making a “precision” hit on a restaurant packed with Ukrainian military personnel and foreign instructors, say Kyiv.
Bloodied survivors staggered into the open or were pulled from the rubble on stretchers as flames roared from shattered buildings.
Children and parents were killed where they had been playing at a park nearby the homes.

‘Russia choosing to kill civilians over peace,’ fumes Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron took to X to share his fury over Russia’s deadly attacks on the weekend.
He said on Sunday: “While Ukraine accepted President Trump’s proposal for a complete and unconditional 30-day ceasefire nearly a month ago, and we are working with all our partners to secure peace, Russia continues the war with renewed intensity, with no regard for civilians.
“These Russian strikes must end. We need a ceasefire as soon as possible. And we need strong action if Russia continues to stall and refuse peace.
“How long will Russia ignore peace overtures from the United States and Ukraine while continuing to murder children and civilians?”

Russia claims it destroyed 19 drones overnight
Russia says it destroyed 19 Ukrainian drones overnight.
In the southwestern Krasnodar region, authorities say a Ukrainian drone decimated by Russia’s air defence systems still damaged rail tracks in the area.
The administration of the region said on Telegram: “There were no casualties, and no fire occurred.”
Prior to this, Russia’s defence ministry revealed that its air defence units intercepted and destroyed 19 of Ukraine’s drones overnight.
Of the 19, 13 were destroyed over the sea of Azov.
Four were also downed over the Krasnodar region, and two over the Bryansk region and the Crimean Peninsula.
