BELOVED Lady and Larder founder Rebecca Wylie Simms has tragically died after surgery complications, says her heartbroken twin sister.

Tributes have flooded in for the popular mum-of-two food influencer who was described as a “magic maker” and the “brightest light”.

Lady and Larder founder Rebecca Wylie ‘Boo’ Simms has tragically died

Rebecca, who was affectionately nicknamed Boo by her pals, was said to have passed away today in California.

A touching Instagram tribute from the official Lady and Larder page read: “It is with profound sadness that I share the devastating loss of my twin sister and co-founder, Boo Simms, who passed away this week due to a tragic surgery complication.

“This loss is immeasurable, and our hearts are completely shattered.

“Boo was our magic maker, our color painter, and the brightest light I have ever known.

“We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this overwhelmingly painful time.”

The heartbreaking post was signed off by co-founder of Lady and Larder and Rebecca’s twin sister Sarah Simms Hendrix.

The pair created the flourishing business back in 2016.

They specialise in selling locally sourced, high-quality products which often features gourmet cheeses and meats.

Sarah also announced that their Carmel Valley store will be closed down for the foreseeable future.

Their popular Santa Monica location will remain open.

Alongside her tireless work for Lady and Larder, Rebecca was also the Senior Creative Director at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar.

She entered the world of food and business shortly after graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Graphic Design.

Rebecca has left behind her partner Sean and their two young daughters, Mavis, 3, and Bertie Lou, 2.

Her official cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

Heartfelt tributes have been pouring in since Rebecca’s shock death was announced.

A friend of the Simms family said: “Rebecca was a beacon of light in the creative world.”

Over 1,300 people left comments under Sarah’s Instagram post with many honouring the hard work, dedication and kindness of Rebecca.

One comment read:”Boo has always been the most amazing light and joy. She was so kind to me and I’m so deeply sorry for your loss.”

Another wrote online: “Rebecca was the most magical human and incredible leader, and I can’t imagine a world without her.”
