A CUSTOMER was shocked to find a surprising charge on their food delivery receipt after speaking up about an incorrect order.

After going to a pizzeria for food and beers, the restaurant charged the customer an unexpected $5 fee.

The $5 charge on the $24.78 bill is labeled as a “bitching fee.”

The customer posted the bill on Reddit and said they weren’t “bitching” at all.

The Redditter said they had ordered a Miller Lite but were given a Bud Light instead.

“I ordered a Miller Lite and she [the server] gave me a Bud Light,” the customer wrote.

“But since she had already opened the Bud Light while walking towards my table she couldn’t just swap it out.

“She had to eat the Bud Light, giving it to me for free and then got me a Miller on top of it. Honestly, there wasn’t any bitching involved so I don’t know what that was about.”

The shocked customer said they weren’t even going to say anything until their friend complained to the waitress.

“I wasn’t even going to complain, but my friend spoke up forcing me to point out her mistake,” the Reddit user wrote.

The confused customer said they’ve definitely “earned” the fee at some other point in their life, but this time they didn’t deserve it.

“I’ve bitched enough in my life to know I’ve earned it,” they wrote.

“With that said I don’t believe I was bitchy in that moment.”

The customer said they didn’t bring the charge to the waitress’s attention but instead paid the bill.

“I’m sure if I had she would have been absolutely mortified,” they wrote.

Reddit users had a field day with the “bitiching charge,” and joked in the comments about whether they’d get charged again if they brought up the fee.

“Bitching about the bitching fee?” one user commented.

“That’s another bitching fee.”

Others said they’d refuse to pay the fee if it was for something as miniscule as asking for a new beer.

“In all seriousness, if that were the only reason I’d refuse to pay it,” one user wrote.

“Most likely there’s more to it than that though.”

Another user argued that the restaurant can’t actually enforce the rule unless it was otherwise displayed.

“There’s no way they can make you actually pay that, assuming they didn’t have a sign out somewhere advertising their “bitching fee” policy,” they wrote.
