Former ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle has quietly returned to the United States and is staying with her second ex-husband in Florida, the Daily Mail has learned.
Guilfoyle, 57, was removed from her high-profile post as US ambassador to Greece last month after a series of controversies, including the disclosure of a text message in which she allegedly asked Trump donor Eric Deters to cover a $100,000 American Express bill.
Guilfoyle and her attorney have argued that the message was AI-generated and maintained that Deters owed her the money. Deters has rejected those claims and is suing her for defamation.
The former Fox News host remained at the official residence, Jefferson House in Athens, for almost three weeks before leaving and flying back to the US on October 30.
Since returning to Florida, Guilfoyle has been living at the home of businessman Eric Villency, 51, her second former husband and the father of their 20-year-old son, Ronan.
‘It’s not surprising that Eric would be there for Kim,’ an insider told the Daily Mail. ‘They share a son, after all, and that has always kept them connected.
‘But they also have real affection for each other – unlike [Guilfoyle’s first husband and California governor] Gavin Newsom.’
Guilfoyle now faces decisions about her next chapter, including finding a new home after being bought out of the $8.5 million, six-bedroom mansion she once shared with former fiancé Donald Trump Jr.

As she adjusts to life back in the US, insiders say the former Fox News co-host has relied on her second ex-husband, businessman Eric Villency, 51, with whom she shares a son. The pair are pictured during their marriage in 2009.
Kimberly Guilfoyle looks to settle scores after Greece posting fails to ease Don Jr. fallout
betrayal
In September 2024, the Daily Mail exclusively reported that Don Jr. was dating his now-wife, 39-year-old Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson, while he was still formally engaged to Guilfoyle.
After the painful split, Guilfoyle was quickly offered the ambassadorship to Greece following Donald Trump’s election as president. The appointment moved her away from Palm Beach while keeping her within the political fold.
‘Kimberly loved being named ambassador to Greece,’ the source said. ‘In many ways, the position seemed tailor-made for her.’
‘But the role did nothing to lessen the pain of Don Jr.’s betrayal – and some people saw the appointment as a way of banishing her from the country so he would not have to face her anger.’
Now that Guilfoyle has been formally pushed out, the situation has changed, with an insider telling the Daily Mail: ‘Kimberly has plenty of scores to settle.’
Deters is one of them. The leaked messages ultimately helped bring her diplomatic tenure to an end.
‘Having those texts exposed was the ultimate humiliation. There is no telling what she may have planned for him,’ the insider said.
But Don Jr. and Anderson appear to be at the top of her list. And, according to those familiar with the situation, this is not Guilfoyle’s first attempt to fight back.

Guilfoyle, 57, remained a prominent figure in Trump’s inner circle during her six-year relationship and engagement to Don Jr., who is now married to Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson Trump (pictured above).
Don Jr. paid Guilfoyle $8.5 million for her share of the luxurious waterfront mansion in Jupiter, Florida, that they purchased while they were together.
Inside Kimberly Guilfoyle’s alleged effort to break up Don Jr. and Bettina Anderson
‘From the beginning, she made it clear how little she thought of Bettina,’ the source said.
The Daily Mail previously reported that an angry Guilfoyle told friends she believed Anderson had sent bikini photographs of herself to the publication. In June, sources also claimed Guilfoyle had worked with Anderson’s former partner, William ‘Beau’ Wrigley, in an alleged attempt to break up the couple.
‘Once they learned Don and Bettina were seeing each other, Kimberly and Beau joined forces to try to end the relationship,’ a source close to the situation told the Daily Mail during the summer.
‘It was an extremely unlikely alliance, to put it mildly.’
Despite those alleged efforts, Don Jr. and Anderson married in the Caribbean over the summer. Guilfoyle, meanwhile, has yet to find a new romantic partner.
‘Kimberly is determined not to be viewed as the loser,’ said another source familiar with the two former couples.
‘She is intensely jealous of Bettina and has gone out of her way to be seen with wealthy, influential men.’

Kimberly Guilfoyle leans on ex-husband Eric Villency after breaking with the MAGA inner circle
Guilfoyle could now face an uncomfortable encounter with her former fiancé and his new wife as she returns to Florida’s social scene. Still, she has the backing of Villency, whom she praised during an interview with Greek television last November.
‘I have a wonderful relationship with Eric Villency, the father of my son Ronan,’ she told broadcaster ANTI.
‘It has been a wonderful experience. We have 20 years of friendship.’
That long-standing friendship is now being tested as Guilfoyle finds herself largely excluded from the MAGA network where she was once a familiar presence.
People around her have noticed the change.
‘Kim cannot be happy with the president after such a cold dismissal and the feeling that he did not stand by her,’ the insider told the Daily Mail.
‘She gave so much of herself to helping get him re-elected. Where is the gratitude? Where is the loyalty?’
The Daily Mail has contacted Guilfoyle for comment.
