ROBLOX is under fire in three new federal lawsuits claiming the platform is a “perfect place for pedophiles” to target children

A Michigan mother is suing on behalf of her 10-year-old daughter, saying Roblox ignored repeated warnings and allowed predators to thrive.

The complaint was filed this month in the Northern District of California by Dolman Law Group.

The lawsuit alleges an adult groomed the child on Roblox by pretending to be another minor.

The predator reportedly sent the girl sexually explicit images and convinced her to send him pictures of herself.

Children are often lured off Roblox to apps like Discord and Snapchat, the lawsuit claims.

Predators allegedly offer Robux, the platform’s in-game currency, in exchange for sexual images or behavior.

Some children are extorted, forced to give Robux to prevent images from being shared.

The lawsuit says Roblox profits indirectly from the sexual exploitation of children through these schemes.

“Children frequently become obsessed with purchasing or otherwise obtaining Robux… they will do ‘Anything for Robux,’” the complaint reads.

Harmful content cited in the 82-page filing includes games modeled after strip clubs and sexualized “condo games.”

Games like “Public Bathroom Simulator” let avatars simulate sexual activity, according to the complaint.

Huge Global Data Breach: 16 Billion Accounts at Risk

Internal documents reportedly show Roblox tracked avatar settings, including nudity and body modifications.

The filing claims the platform allowed these features to remain, fostering an unsafe environment.

Dozens of games referenced celebrities or notorious figures, including Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jeffrey Epstein, yet remained accessible to children.

The lawsuit also highlights user accounts with names referencing pedophilia, such as “@Igruum_minors” and “@RavpeTinyK!dsJE.”

What the Lawsuit Says

  • Roblox allowed predators to groom children by pretending to be minors.
  • Predators allegedly lured kids off-platform to apps like Discord and Snapchat.
  • Children were offered or extorted for Robux in exchange for sexual images or behavior.
  • Harmful content included sexualized games, “condo games,” and avatars simulating nudity or sexual activity.
  • User accounts with pedophilia references were reportedly allowed.
  • Roblox ignored warnings and failed to implement basic safeguards like parental approval or ID verification.
  • Internal documents suggest the company prioritized growth and revenue over child safety.

Roblox allegedly refused basic safety measures like requiring parental approval or identity verification for under-13 accounts.

The complaint says anonymous accounts make it easy for predators to create multiple identities.

Dolman Law Group has filed over 300 similar lawsuits against Roblox, making this one of the largest tech-related legal waves in the US.

Roblox promotes moderation tools like its AI system “Sentinel,” aimed at blocking harmful behavior.

According to The Guardian, these safeguards fail to prevent sexually explicit content and predatory accounts.

A former Roblox employee reportedly said the company chose revenue over safety, WRAL News reported.

“You can keep your players safe, but then there would be less of them on the platform. Or, you can allow more users to join and interact with strangers, and you’ll have more revenue.”

The Michigan lawsuit seeks damages and structural reforms to force Roblox to better protect children.

The girl at the center of the case is described as suffering trauma from being groomed and exploited.

The complaints come amid mounting scrutiny of tech companies and their responsibility to protect young users online.

Roblox has not publicly commented on the new filings.
