AN 85-year-old man has allegedly strangled and beaten his wife to death.
Lehi, Utah resident Ronald J. Morgan was arrested for aggravated murder on October 6.
The Utah County Sheriff’s Office got reports of a bloody woman on October 6 sending them to Morgan’s home. They found him also covered in blood where he had made the utterance that he had killed her, according to the affidavit.
His wife was found dead in the bathroom with multiple traumatic injuries.
During an interview with the Lehi Police Department, Morgan expressed frustration that “had been building and building until he just lost it.”
When police asked what losing it meant, Morgan reportedly smirked and said he killed her.
According to the affidavit, Morgan described strangling, punching, slapping, and stomping his victim until he thought she was dead.
He also described using multiple makeshift weapons such as shoes and boxes to strike his victim.
Morgan was booked into the Utah County Jail on the aggravated murder charge.
