THE estranged husband of Ruby Franke has reportedly told police that his daughter should face burglary charges after she took multiple items from the home.

Kevin Franke, who’s married to disgraced YouTuber Ruby Franke, allegedly claimed he wanted his daughter Shari, 20 to be arrested for burglary.

The former couple is best known for their YouTube channel 8passengers which starred their six children.

Ruby Franke and her business and podcast partner Jodie Hildebrandt were charged with six counts of felony child abuse.

On August 30th, police found two of the Franke’s six children who were emaciated and showed troubling signs of malnourishment according to Fox News.

Police quickly served a search warrant for the Franke’s address with the goal of finding her other minor children.

After the police searched the home, Kevin Franke assumed the worst

“I responded by phone to the complainant [Kevin Franke] on the report of a burglary at the home,” a Springville police officer wrote in the report for the September 1 incident obtained by Fox News.

According to the father of six, he found the home had been “kicked in and damaged,” and certain electronics were missing from the residence.

He believed his daughter, Shari Franke, might have burglarized the home.

“Kevin stated that Shari is not allowed in the home and that he believes she entered unlawfully and he wants her charged with burglary,” the officer wrote.

The officer attempted to explain that the door was broken in after the Springville Police Department served a search warrant at the home and that it had nothing to do with the daughter, according to reports.

The disgruntled father “wanted to have his daughter charged with theft for taking some hard drives out of the house,” however the officer told him that “his daughter wasn’t aware” she couldn’t have the items and offered to bring them back.

The eldest daughter had returned three tablets, three cellphones, three cameras, a few journals, and three passports to the Springville police department.

The police let Kevin Franke know that they would not be charging Shari Franke, “as her intent was not to deprive him of any items, she had previously been allowed in the home, and he had not been in the home admittedly for 13 months,” the police report states.

Police reports claim that Kevin Franke threatened to sue the police department after finding out there would be no charges against his daughter.

Kevin Franke’s attorney Randy Kester released a statement to People, about the police incident.

“At the time, Kevin was understandably upset that his front door had been broken, and that much of his property had been taken, including personal property as well as private and personal electronic devices and their contents,” Kester told the publication.

“It was his home and property and he was never served with a warrant.  Moreover, this allowed other third parties, who did not live at the home, access to his home and property, and of which they took advantage.”

“Notwithstanding, what he considered to be a significant and hurtful violation of the sanctity of his home and property, Kevin has taken an ameliorating and healing path,” the statement continues. “He has taken no action adverse to the police and continues to strengthen the bonds between he and all of his children.”

Shari Franke is believed to be estranged from both of her parents.

Last year, Shari called the police on the family in September 2022 requesting a welfare check to the family home.

She had been very vocal following the arrest of her mother and her business partner, showcasing clips that allegedly showed signs of her mother being abusive, according to People.

While running her old YouTube channel, Ruby Franke received backlash for the disturbing punishments she inflicted on her kids including making her son sleep on a bean bag chair for months or withholding food.
