A COLLEGE student-athlete has been killed in a Halloween night shooting.

Carl-Hens Beliard, 18, a student at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts, was found with gunshot wounds in a vehicle at around 1:24 am on Wednesday.

When Salem police arrived on the scene, they observed a black vehicle that appeared to have crashed into a concrete barrier of a home.

Authorities said the vehicle was riddled with bullet holes in the center of the rear window.

The shooting took place near the Salem State University student parking lot, Essex County officials said.

Beliard, a member of the Salem State University varsity basketball team, was rushed to Salem Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
