The name and image of former Bachelor star Sam Wood have been painted over at his Melbourne gym, The Woodshed, as businesses and public figures move to distance themselves from him following his arrest on domestic violence charges.

Wood, 46, remains behind bars after being denied bail over allegations involving his wife, Snezana Wood, 45, at the couple’s $3,000-a-night holiday accommodation in Noosa on October 3.

His lawyer has maintained that Wood denies the allegations and intends to contest the charges.

Photographs from outside The Woodshed in Brighton show that the gym’s name and a picture of Wood have been covered with paint on the building’s exterior.

However, it is understood the business is still operating. 7News reported that gym employees have had no contact with Wood since his arrest.

The Woodshed has not publicly commented on the arrest across its social media channels. Images of Wood were also still featured on the gym’s website as of Sunday morning.

‘The Woodshed is proud to be known as Melbourne’s best training facility owned and operated by Australia’s leading Personal Trainer & Fitness Expert, Sam Wood,’ the website stated.

Daily Mail has contacted The Woodshed seeking comment.

Wood is also facing uncertainty over two multimillion-dollar property transactions in Brighton in the wake of his arrest.

Sam Wood remains in custody after being denied bail over allegations involving his wife, Snezana Wood, at the family’s $3,000-a-night Noosa holiday accommodation on October 3

According to Australian Financial Review, Wood had agreed to buy a luxury Brighton home valued at more than $6 million and was preparing to place another property on the market when he was charged.

The home he had agreed to purchase includes seven bedrooms, a swimming pool and a tennis court. It is owned by Shara Healy, the former wife of embattled media businessman Antony Catalano.

Wood and Snezana bought a property on Hanby Street for $7.15 million last year, with the sale settling in January.

The five-bedroom residence also boasts a pool and tennis court.

Brighton property sources told the AFR that Wood was “days, if not hours away” from listing the Hanby Street residence when news of his arrest emerged.

Healy’s property is roughly a two-minute drive from the Hanby Street home. Wood had reportedly negotiated to live there while waiting through an extended settlement period of about 12 months.

The planned sale campaign was reportedly set to launch through Jellis Craig in Brighton, though it is not known whether the listing will go ahead.

Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard on Thursday that Snezana feared Wood would kill her during an alleged incident at the couple’s $3,000-a-night La Mer holiday rental in Noosa on October 3.

It is alleged a row broke out as the couple were packing their belongings to return home to Melbourne.

Wood is then alleged to have put his hands around Snezana’s throat and forced her to the floor, where he pinned her down and banged her head on the floor, leaving her unable to breathe.

She told police she thought ‘this was it… her life was going to end’. She said she thought Wood was ‘going to kill her’, the court heard.

It also heard that Wood had previously choked Snezana and thrown her against the floor and a wall at their home in Victoria in an earlier alleged domestic violence attack. Wood was not charged over the previous incident.

A host of Australian celebrities severed ties with Wood’s business immediately after he was arrested.

Wood founded fitness and training business 28 by Sam Wood, which he sold for $71million to DBG Health in 2022 while remaining the face of the online platform.

But many of the trainers, celebrities and companies associated with Wood’s business have now distanced themselves from it.

Celebrity trainer and Gladiator Tiffiny Hall, who had strong links to Wood’s fitness and nutrition empire, led the charge, confirming that she was no longer affiliated with the brand.

‘I have zero tolerance for domestic and family violence, for violence of any kind,’ the 42-year-old wrote in an Instagram statement.

‘It is unacceptable, entirely at odds with the standards, core values and culture I wish to cultivate.’

Home and Away veteran Tammin Sursok, who has previously appeared alongside Wood in promotional videos for his company, also issued a statement on Monday indicating that the business relationship is on ‘pause’.

‘I’m aware of the serious charges reported in the media involving Sam Wood,’ the 43-year-old wrote on social media.

‘I want to be clear that I have zero tolerance for domestic and family violence. It’s an issue I care deeply about, and one that I will always stand firmly against.

‘In light of the reports, I have immediately paused my partnership and removed related promotional content from my social channels, while this matter is before the courts.’

Meanwhile, body positive entrepreneur and MAFS veteran Jules Robinson also announced she had ended her partnership with Wood.

In another move, ready-made meal business Foxes Den also joined the exodus, confirming it was stepping away from its partnership with Wood’s business.

Even more tellingly, the 28 By Sam Wood Menopause Community Facebook page rebranded itself on Monday night to 28 Menopause Community, completely removing his name from the title.
