He had a legion of fans from his ’90s reality TV days, but recently appointed Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy has attracted a whole new demographic – and his wife has some thoughts. 

The former Fox News personality and MTV ‘Real World’ star was confirmed by the Senate on Tuesday, with one fan taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to lust over the 53-year-old.

‘Who is this guy and why is he so hot?’ the tweet read, in response to a post announcing Duffy’s new role.

Duffy’s wife of 26 years, Rachel Campos-Duffy, 53, couldn’t help but hit back with a tongue-in-cheek reply.

‘He’s my husband. We have nine kids together. Obviously I agree with you,’ she jokingly wrote in the post.

The woman who originally wrote the post replied with a good-natured response, writing: ‘Well played. You are a beautiful family.’

The father-of-nine is married to the Fox host, whom he met while filming the reality series Road Rules: All Stars in 1998.

On The Real World: Boston, he was the quintessential ‘jock-type guy’ who, according to his castmates, ‘liked to party’ – and party he did. 

From flirting with roommates to skipping mentorship responsibilities for romantic escapades, Duffy’s time on the show was anything but tame. 

One of the most infamous plotlines centered on his fixation with Genesis Moss, a roommate who identifies as a lesbian. 

Duffy pursued her relentlessly, making awkward advances and even propositioning her with gems such as ‘feel my noodle,’ despite her obvious disinterest. 

In one episode, he skipped a scheduled meeting with at-risk children he was mentoring to hook up with a ‘local girl.’

Beyond the bedroom drama, Duffy’s antics frequently crossed the line into controversy.

He was fired from his mentoring gig after drinking alcohol in front of the kids and bailing on them for a ski trip. 

Reflecting on his Real World days in a 2019 YouTube interview, Duffy admitted, ‘You look back now, you look at the things you say and did [on the show], it’s embarrassing.’ 

Still, he managed to find lasting love in the MTV universe, meeting his now-wife during an all-stars season. The two married and now have nine children. 

‘We are the most prolific Real World couple of all time. No one beats us,’ he boasted in a 2019 interview.

During his confirmation hearing, Duffy said that roadway safety hits close to home for him, due to his longtime partner.

‘My wife survived a deadly head-on car crash which has profoundly reshaped her life,’ he revealed.

The former Republican Wisconsin received bipartisan support in the Senate, which voted unanimously to push his nomination through before voting in his favor 77 – 22.
