We’ve witnessed an extended period of disruption and violence from those opposing ICE operations.
Just last night in Los Angeles, federal agents faced attacks, with objects such as water bottles hurled at them. This incident was far from a mere “protest”; it was outright aggression.
Such actions are what Democrats have stirred up and continue to encourage. Notably, Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43) was present. Despite the chaos, she claimed in a departing interview that she did not witness any violence.
Meanwhile, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has fueled the anti-ICE sentiment, carelessly invoking Civil War rhetoric, prompting President Donald Trump to reprimand him. Walz would be wise to reconsider his approach as it may not end favorably.
In response, Kennedy urged Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-ND) to introduce legislation aimed at eliminating sanctuary cities. Such a move is crucial to curbing the chaos incited by figures like Walz. Passing this bill would significantly streamline efforts to address the turmoil. Let’s bring it to the floor and get it passed.
Then Kennedy called on Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-ND) to bring a bill to the floor to get rid of sanctuary cities. That’s what they really need to do, because then they can end a lot of this nonsense that leads to problems from folks like Walz. It would greatly facilitate the process. Get that on the floor and get it done.Â
