A SHOCKING moment of a raging pet-owner scrapping with a buff kangaroo has gone viral after the Aussie beast trapped his dog underwater and tried to drown it.
The brave man who filmed the whole scary ordeal told the kangaroo “I’ll punch your head in” as he tried to rescue the poor pup.
The video, that’s been watched millions of times on social media, shows the huge animal standing up with a dog between his freakishly long arms just above the murky water.
As he approaches, the person filming ends up locking eyes with the roo and telling him: “I’m gonna punch your f**king head in.
“Let go of my dog.”
Before slapping his paws making him let go of the dog.
The not-so-clever plan results in the kangaroo swiping at the man making him drop his phone into the outback river.
When the phone comes back above the water the menacing kangaroo hasn’t budged and is still staring directly at the camera.
Not happy enough with his dog now being safe back on land the man splashes water at the vicious marsupial as it flings its arms forwards again revealing its sharp claws.
The astonishing video ends with the man laughing to himself in disbelief as he backs away.
A nasty looking cut to his hand is then shown in the clip.
Social media was left divided by the act of bravery with many saying they’d fight anything to save their dog.
Others were baffled by why you’d fight such a frightening animal and what on earth it was doing in the river with a dog in the first place.

Letty Angeles who commented on the clip was dumbfounded by the whole thing.
She said: “So do kangaroo eat dogs or why is he trying to choke it?”
Many people also noted that this type of thing would only happen in Australia with one saying on the TikTok clip: “This is the most Aussie s**t I’ve ever witnessed.”
People were also quick to notice that dogs being attacked was a common thing seen down under as kangaroos are known to tragically force smaller animals below water until they drown.
Humans and kangaroos have been enemies for years as only last year a wildbrawl erupted when a rogue kangaroo attacked an Australian, leading to a frenzied scramble of stomps, uppercuts and body-blows.
The horror melee was caught on camera in Ballina, New South Wales, and shows the terrified man sprinting away from the animal at first before the intense scrap.
And it’s not just men who get caught up in scraps as a 69-year-old woman from Queensland was kicked to the ground and stomped on by a kangaroo as she was trying to play a round of golf.
It happened on the same course that was invaded by a mob of kangaroos in October last year, interrupting a couple trying to tee off.
The funny video shows about 20 bouncy roos hopping along the fairway.
Kangaroos are known to be mostly peaceful, but can become extremely dangerous when they feel threatened – leading to some devastating consequences.
The menacing marsupials allegedly cause thousands of injuries across Australia each year, although this will generally only occur if they sense danger to themselves or their offspring.
Not known to be killers generally, the animals do however have a dark history of fatal attacks, especially when it’s mating season and the aggression ramps up.
Peter Eades, 77, was discovered by a family member after the alpaca farmer was savaged by the beast he kept as a pet in the first kangaroo related death since 1936.
They are so dangerous as they can spring over 6ft in the air and travel at 35 mph, and have a one-punch knockout that has been captured on camera in incredible footage.
