THIS is the horror moment a deranged “zombie hunter” with a machete survives being run over & shot seven times by cops after a bloody rampage.

Roman Kontselidze, 36, allegedly attacked a mother and her child before the police tackled him in Lyubertsy, Moscow Oblast, Russia.

Shocking video footage from the scene shows him getting up from a series of increasingly desperate attempts to subdue him.

The clip shows Roman being rammed by what appears to be an unmarked police car as he crosses a road with armed uniformed officers in pursuit on foot.

Instead, being knocked head over heels onto the tarmac just seems to enrage him as he jumps straight up and turns to charge the officers while brandishing his machete.

Snarling, he runs at them full pelt as one desperate officer fires seven times while he shuffles backwards before charging the officers.

One of the officers even had to hurl himself backwards to dodge a fatal slash with the razor-sharp blade.

The attacker only stops his charge when a bullet strikes his leg and two officers punch and kick him repeatedly in the head and back.

But even then, he still tries to get back up and is only beaten down when a group of four offers to press him face down onto the pavement.

The cops shot seven rounds in an attempt to kill Roman on the spot – but he astonishingly survived after he was taken to a hospital, the local media reported.

The prosecutor’s office said: “A man, allegedly armed with a machete, inflicted bodily injuries on several passers-by.

“Law enforcement officers neutralised and detained the attacker.

“The prosecutor’s office took control of establishing the circumstances of an attack by an armed man on passers-by in the city of Lyubertsy.”

The police confirmed he had stabbed a mum and her child, 14 because he believed he was being pursued by zombies.

Both victims survived and were treated at a hospital for stab wounds.

A criminal case has now been opened against Kontselidze, who is charged with the attempted murder of two people.

Roman is said to have been released from a psychiatric hospital a day before the incident.
