Videos captured by the home’s Ring cameras show the bear’s trek across the home.

The videos were shared by a woman on social media, reports WFSB.

The bear is seen walking around the house, making its way from the living room to the kitchen.

Once there, he opens the freezer and starts sniffing around.

He snags a bag of food and manages to sneak out through a window, with his raid successful.

According to the woman, she never realized there was a bear in her home until she was looking through her Ring’s camera footage.

While bears breaking into houses doesn’t seem like a common thing, Colorado Parks and Wildlife has some guidance on bearproofing homes.

The organization asks people who live near wildlife to lock their doors and windows.

If windows are left open, these must be barred for safety.

They suggest installing extra-sturdy doors if there’s a freezer or a bird feeder in the garage since these objects can attract bears.

They also suggest locking cars and closing their windows, making sure that you don’t leave any food or aromatics inside.

These aromatics include gum, lip balm, air fresheners, and lotions.

They also suggest that you should keep bears away if they’re passing by your house or yard by clapping, yelling firmly, or banging pots and pans.

If a bear enters your home and you’re inside, they suggest making sure the bear can leave through the window or door it entered from and avoid cornering it, approaching it, or blocking escape routes.
