THIS is the shocking moment a so-called prankster launches a massive snowball at an unsuspecting grandfather’s head for a sick TikTok stunt.

The content creator now faces jail after posting cruel footage of himself lobbing a large ice ball at the innocent 61-year-old bystander as he ate with his granddaughter.

The unnamed Parisian prankster faces up to three years in prison

The appalling footage was posted to TikTok, with the caption on the video reading: “When you are considered a public danger.”

The video gained millions of views but sparked immense backlash from disgusted viewers.

In the footage, the Parisian hooligan can be seen holding a large snowball, seemingly slightly bigger than a basketball, sitting on a chairlift which is about to approach above a restaurant.

The victim appears to be eating lunch with his family in peace, moments before the prankster’s chairlift is positioned just above them.

He then hurls the ball at the victim as the chairlift moves off into the distance and the perpetrator escapes.

The youth, who is in his 20s, can also be heard in the video mocking the man, as he says: “Bon appétit!”

The victim’s glasses were broken, and he sustained minor injuries after he was struck directly on the face.

The incident, which occurred on February 28, prompted officials to file a lawsuit against the “prankster”.

Fabrice Boutet, managing director of the Société d’Aménagement Touristique d’Alpe d’Huez (Sata) which operates the ski lift, told local media they filed a lawsuit “straight away”.

He said: “We met the victim, a very nice man who has a flat [nearby] and who was spending his holiday with his family in the resort.”

Boutet added: “I think this type of behaviour must be punished.”

The TikToker said on social media that they were “not aiming for the man’s head”.

But police have now opened an investigation for intentional violence with a weapon, which could see the content creator face three years in prison if charged and found guilty.
