'So You Think You Can Dance' champ dies after being struck by train

Joshua Allen, a “So You Think You Can Dance” alum, died Tuesday after being struck by a train. He was 36.  

Allen’s family told TMZ he died in a hospital near his Texas home.  

The “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 4 winner’s family has asked his fans for “privacy and prayers.”

Tributes poured in for Allen, including from choreographer Emmanuel Hurd, who said his death has hurt him deeply. 

“I can’t wrap my head around this…Josh…my brotha. There are no words,” Hurd said on Instagram. “You were the life of the party. You were Batman. Champion. One of the realest people I ever met.”

He added, “One of the realest people I ever met. Kept it a stack every time and would make it right if you fell short. A real King. This one hurts deep.” 

In Allen’s last Instagram post, he posted a picture of himself standing alongside Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who died in July in an accidental drowning in Costa Rica.  

“Fly high King,” Allen wrote. “#gonetoosoon.”
