Sopranos star Drea de Matteo has claimed she only joined OnlyFans because she refused to get the COVID vaccine which cost her acting gigs, as she slams backlash from fans over the move.
The 51-year-old actress used Instagram to promote her new platform on the content-subscription last month, which is largely known for hosting X-rated content.
Speaking to Fox News, the actress has revealed that she was forced to take up the subscription site, which she charges $15 for, after refusing to take the COVID jab.
She told the news site: ‘I know some people have said some nasty things about me having joined OnlyFans. But, you know, the way we see it in this house is mommy’s a warrior, not accepting defeat.
‘I am a very big supporter of stay-at-home moms and women who really love to raise their children. I balanced it all, and I’ve done it all.’

She continued: ‘I didn’t know this was going to have to be a change of life during a time I’m supposed to be relaxing a little bit, that I would have to switch careers and figure new things out because my own industry thinks I’m a savage.’
De Matteo had been referring to the reaction within the film industry to her position on COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
The actress told the outlet that her agent dropped her over her views and that she almost lost her home.
She added: ‘I guess you could say I was a bad girl because I did not follow the rules a couple of years ago.
‘So, I don’t want to be at the mercy of mandates or strike or anything like that ever again.
The Sons of Anarchy star said her boyfriend Robby Staebler, from the band All Them Witches, and her children from a previous relationship are supportive of the move.
She continued: ‘My kids were the ones that were like, ‘Do it.’ She’ll [de Matteo’s daughter] edit the pictures, too, because they want certain things that we haven’t been able to do. I used to have a lot of money.
‘And then, all of a sudden, I went from being allowed to work to never being allowed to work again.
‘I was never the kind of actor that took jobs just to stay in the business. I literally took jobs to feed my family.’
During the pandemic, Hollywood unions and major films studios agreed plans for limiting interruptions to production by implementing mandatory vaccination policies for casts and crews.

De Matteo starred as Adriana La Cerva in The Sopranos between 1999 and 2006 and she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2004 for her performance in the hit series.
She posted a story onto her Instagram page to share her OnlyFans account with her 445,000 followers.
It featured a close-up photo of her in a blue bikini surrounded by flames. The post was captioned with: ‘ONLY FANS IS LIVE NOW. Link in bio!’.
Her profile shows her completely naked in thigh-high boots and smoking while next to another woman who is partially out of frame.
Another picture on her OnlyFans account shows her wearing a star-spangled bikini top.

Following the end of The Sopranos in 2007, de Matteo has leaned on her success in the series.
She portrayed Joey Tribbiani’s sister Gina in the Friends spin-off Joey from 2004 to 2006 and appeared as Angie Bolen in Desperate Housewives between 2009 and 2010.
The actress hosted the re-watch podcast titled Made Woman and has sold merchandise including t-shirts that read ‘Adriana f***ing La Cerva’.
The phrase was printed in The Sopranos’ iconic font and a handgun was used instead of the letter ‘r’.
