THIS is the gruelling moment a stab victim crawls desperately into a shop – with a knife still lodged in his back.

The horrifying incident took place on the Canary Islands and followed a heated argument between the victim and another man, according to cops.

Shocking footage showed the 64-year-old Polish national dragging himself on the floor after putting down his rucksack on March 30.

A metal knife can be seen protruding from between his shoulder blades as he eventually lies face-down on the floor.

Horrified onlookers step back when they realise the disturbing extent of his injuries.

The victim appears to be completely defeated as he rests his head on the floor.

The Polish man fortunately survived the grim ordeal.

Cops believe the victim and his attacker knew each other from the soup kitchen they attended regularly.

They suspect an argument broke out between the two while they were on their way to pick up food.

After the suspect stabbed the victim, he fled the scene and left him to seek help at a nearby shop, where the unsettling footage was caught.

Emergency services arrived and gave the man medical aid on the scene.

He was taken to a local hospital in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, shortly after and underwent surgery.

About two hours after the attack, the suspect turned himself in at a local police station and confessed to the crime.

The 44-year-old carried out the brutal attack at around 10am before fleeing and eventually handing himself in to cops.

In 2022, a Brit tourist was brutally stabbed in the stomach in Tenerife in a holiday resort.

The 22-year-old was knifed in the south of the island and admitted to an intensive care unit after the horrific attack.

And in 2019, diners were left horrified at a Brit-favourite restaurant in Lanzarote when an angry chef fatally stabbed the owner with a kitchen knife.

The killing occurred at the popular Las Vegas restaurant in Puerto del Carmen.
