Suri Cruise is stepping into the spotlight, echoing the illustrious careers of her parents, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The young talent is poised to make her mark in the world of performance art by taking on a role in a revered Shakespearean piece.
Currently enrolled in Carnegie Mellon University’s esteemed musical theater program, the 20-year-old will lend her talents to Midsummer!, a modern retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This exciting development was first revealed by Page Six.
Suri, whose mother is reportedly in a new relationship with Jason Bard Yarmosky, will join her fellow students in bringing this 90-minute production to life. The performance will take place at the Peirce Studio within Pittsburgh’s Trust Arts Education Center, a venue that seats up to 175 patrons.
The production is slated for a limited two-night engagement on July 31 and August 1. After these debut performances, the show is set to captivate audiences across the pond at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe from August 7 to August 31.
While earlier reports suggested that Suri might pursue a career in fashion, her current endeavors demonstrate a deep commitment to her family’s theatrical legacy.
In her senior year at high school, she portrayed Philoclea in Head Over Heels and starred as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family: A New Musical.

This past March, she took on the character Angel in Cosmic Microwave Background, a staged play presented at the New Hazlett Theater in Pittsburgh as part of its CSA: Off the Page reading series.
During her graduation ceremony from LaGuardia High School, Suri dropped her father’s surname and used Suri Noelle as a tribute to her mother, whose middle name is Noelle. So, it’s a good guess what name she will be billed as in this latest venture.
Suri and the Mission: Impossible star, 64, who is still a dedicated and active member of the Church of Scientology, remain estranged. They have not had any semblance of a father-daughter relationship for over a decade.
Holmes and Cruise divorced in August 2012 after little more than six years of marriage.
Since then, Suri has lived with her mother, who previously told InStyle her main goal has been to nurture her daughter into her own person and making sure she is ‘100 percent herself and strong, confident, and able.’
Suri has the unwavering support of Holmes, who recruited her to sing over the opening credits of her 2022 film Alone Together and said at the time that she hoped she would continue down a showbiz path.
