A PREGNANT mom’s autopsy has revealed the horrific injuries that led to her death after being shot by a police officer in a Kroger parking lot.
Ta’Kiya Young, 21, died from a single gunshot wound that went through her heart and spine after being shot outside a Kroger in Blendon Township, Ohio, about two hours south of Akron.

Young, who was between 24 and 28 weeks pregnant with a baby girl, was shot on August 24 by a cop with the Blendon Township Police Department.
Two Blendon Township cops were helping someone in the parking lot when a Kroger employee came out and accused Young of shoplifting as she was getting in her car, according to police body-camera footage.
The video showed one officer approach Young’s side window and inform her that she had been accused of shoplifting.
An argument between the officers and Young ensues as the pregnant mom ignores their orders and begins to drive off.
Another officer standing in front of Young’s car fired one shot through her windshield, striking the 21-year-old.

Young was taken to Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital, where she later died.
The autopsy ruled Young’s death a homicide.
The Blendon Township Police Department has not released the identity of the officer who fired the fatal shot.
Young’s family attorney, Sean Walton, identified the officer as Connor Grubb.
The family is calling for the officer to be fired and prosecuted immediately.
“The findings from the autopsy report confirm that Connor Grubb murdered two people on August 24, 2023 – both Ta’Kiya Young and her unborn daughter,” Walton said.
“The single gunshot Grubb fired through Ta’Kiya’s heart that day was not only unnecessary and in violation of Blendon Township departmental policy and best policing practices nationally, it was a criminal act that deserves a criminal indictment.
“The family looks forward to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation completing their investigation and the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office bringing charges against Connor Grubb for the murders of Ta’Kiya and her unborn daughter.”
Young was an aspiring social worker and mother of two sons, ages six and three.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation.
